Meadows is an exciting kid to get. Obviously the 6'6 frame stands out but I could see him playing in the 225-230 range with an 80" wing span. He was Nevada's Gatorade Track Athlete of the Year as well last year so he has great speed and acceleration. At 6'6 and 230 with good hands and speed, he has potential to be a BIG PROBLEM for our opponents!
I love we are recruiting big/tall and fast WRs. It's a little different philosophy than CNS employed. Not that we won't still get the smaller burner type (because they are in the majority) but a big, tall receiver can be a weapon if used right and I suspect CKD plans to use them right!

In this KR video, he already does something better than JM as a HS senior. Watch his footwork, especially his willingness to step up in the pocket.

He is already a better QB in HS than Milroe is. But Milroe is a lot faster. The speed is what scares teams when trying to defend him.

I hope to get back to the days of the entire team being the reason that teams fear playing Alabama.

JM is reportedly the fastest guy on Bama's team and during most games nobody can catch him unless he decides to go east/west.

I know DC's hate having to defend a guy like that, but when you watch this dude's arm, all of the sudden you realize you'll be defending a whole field that 100 yards long and over 50 yards wide.

And BTW, KR isn't a statue either.

Kid is being compared to Jayden Daniels. Just a comparison, of course, but when you watch his tape you can see he's already high level.

Depending on his adjustment to the college game; scheme/speed I believe we may have a dude!

IMO he has a legitimate chance to be the best we have had, and I realize what kind of weight that statement carries.

And THIS tilted the scales for JMilroe to be QB1 this season. The staff felt his speed was too much of a weapon to sit on the sidelines and felt like they could work around his passing deficiencies, hence CKD stating early in the season he won't install 90% of his offense until next season.

Would have been interesting to see what this offense could have been with a NO Saints like approach with a combination of Taysom Hill and a more traditional QB.

You did have several receivers who preferred Simpson over Milroe because they felt like he ran the offense better in certain aspects, like getting it out of his hand faster. Also, some of the receivers like catching passes from Simpson better than Milroe, he throws a more "catchable" ball.

Speaking of the 2025 class KR says, "We coming for that Natty."

Not that I Iike the expression but if they can deliver they can call it what they want!
That's better than them calling it "the chip". I hate that so much

I think Burton had Ty throwing to him at last springs Pro Day.

It's just insane to me that the majority of the WR room prefers the guy who is not starting and that this staff handicapped our entire offense with Milroe.

With the exception of the LSU game (which was mostly running success) he was just AWFUL from Tenn to the end of the season.

Just missing guys entire catch radius and turning into a TO machine with fumbles and INTs

I'll never believe that Ty would not have been a better option for 2023 and 2024

Even Dylan or Holstein would have been better.

I really like everything I've seen with KR but I'm also not in a rush to just bypass a guy whos been working his butt off behind the scenes and patiently waiting for a chance.

Outside of KR coming and being an instant phenom, he needs to take the Arch Manning approach and sit, learn, and mature. It will benefit his college career and his potential NFL career a lot more.

Also, Simpson is now a "grown man" playing college football. He's hitting that age where the game (regardless if it's his first year to start or not) should be slowing down. He will now have taken three years' worth of college reps which should slant the scales heavily in his favor.

Nico Iamaleava came in as a true freshman and took his lumps but is in a QB friendly system with talent surrounding him and has led his team to the CFB Playoffs. Russell will be in a similar situation and imo is better than Nico. Whether he wins the job or not, I agree he should be patient if he doesn't win it. If he keeps developing and stays humble and hungry he is the future at QB. He doesn't need to fall into the fallacy that the grass is greener just because he doesn't get instant gratification. There won't be a better place in the country to play QB than Bama over the coming year with Deboer at the helm.

After basically a public apology to the WR's by CKD, he BETTER start putting passing QB's behind center. He got a mulligan this season, he won't next season.

He is a redshirt freshman, as was Bryce Young. True freshman almost never start and have success at QB.
