Kentucky Wins It's First Two Sec Games VS Bama...!

This has too be the worst coached Softball team of Murphy's tenure.

I feel bad for the Pitcher's, the coach's need to get their act together, this infield is terrible 6 errors just in this series alone, and if they don't hit an home run it's more than likely a pop-up on the infield, more so on the hitting coach...!

Don't know what's wrong, but there's virtually no continuity within this team, between the coaches and player's...!

Well, we did win game two vs Kentucky, but I don't think we've won an SEC series yet this year. Doesn't look like a good year for softball so far.

Obviously enjoyed the Historic Elite 8 win and Baseball taking 2/3 from USC was great but losing the series in LEX and making UK look like a top 20 team was disheartening. Feels like the games we DO score runs are the games where pitchers struggle and errors are a problem. As stated on here all season by others, roller coaster ride. Optimistic me says, Men's Hoops was a bit of that for a lot of the regular season.

If we can't beat Ole Miss this weekend i doubt we win an SEC series this season.

I'm with you Major- To re-instill some confidence, we really need a sweep. With A&M, ARK, Tenn coming up, THAT is one tough stretch. Winning second game in a row abainst the Rebels would be a nice lead in to the Hoops in Phoenix tomorrow night.

...and BAMA gets the sweep vs Ole Miss with a 5-1 victory today. BAMA looked good in all three games, but I'm not really sure how to take it as Ole Miss, counting the BAMA series, is 3-12 in the SEC. They are not upper echelon SEC talent. But I will take the sweep and hope it gives the ladies confidence going forward. We need a few more sweeps to get back in the hunt.

I expect us to go 6-6 at least in these last 4 SEC series. Taking 2 of from Auburn and winning one of those super tough other 3 series. If Beaver can stay healthy AND FROSH Briski continue to improve, maybe even 7-5 or 8-4

I would love to see a strong finish but I guess we will see what happens. Right now we look like a middle of the pack SEC team, which is not what I'm used to seeing.

Yeah, it was hard to watch. We spotted A&M a 6-0 lead after two innings. It was 7-1 when BAMA made a bit of a comeback and cut it to 7-5. Torrence came on to pitch and it went to 10-5. We scored 1 more but gave up 7 runs in the 7th inning. We need to win tomorrow, or I'm pretty sure that, if we're in a regional, it won't be in T-Town. I thought when the ladies cut it to 7-5 we would make a comeback, but A&M exploded instead.

I was unable to watch any of Sunday's game so THANKS for the recap, as bad as it was. Sounds like both Briski and Torrence got really roughed up. As a FROSH, I feel Briski will continue to get better but I was hoping Torrence would basically be the 1A pitcher to The Beav this year, but she's fell down the depth chart. With ARK and UT coming up next tonight feels like a must win or we could go on a losing streak

A&M loads the bases on an error and two walks in the top of 4th. They score two runs on a foul fly ball to right field. We made the catch and threw it home - one hopper to the catcher - but the ball got away so the runner on 3rd scored followed by the runner on second. It was a little bit of a high hop on the throw home but I thought the catcher should have handled it. Instead, 2 runs scored and they gave the E to the right fielder. Going to the bottom of 4.

BAMA gets 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th to take a 3-2 lead. We loaded the bases on a HBP, single, and a walk. Then we got a run on another HBP. We then got a 2 out single by Heivilin to score 2 more runs. Going to the 5th.

A&M scores 2 in the top of the 5th to take a 4-3 lead. They got a HBP, (questionable, should have been challenged, but wasn't), then a seeing eye double down the left field line to set up 2nd and 3rd. A&M then got a single thru the left side on a pulled in infield for 1 run, followed by another run on a ground out to 1st. On to the bottom of 5.

BAMA ties it up at 4 in the bottom of the 5th. Lead off triple, followed by a bad strike out, a non-scoring ground out, then a wild pitch. Good thing there was a wild pitch or we would have wasted the triple.

Man, we are looking like a bunch of lost puppies out there right now. First, we have the A&M hitter who can't handle the rise ball in an 0-2 count. So we give her a fat pitch on the outside corner that results in a 2 run single. A&M throws in a bunt and the runner is safe at first, but no one covers 3rd so the runner on first goes all the way to 3rd. Then we quit paying attention and the runner who was safe at first takes second base. That's followed by another 2 run single. A&M now up 8-4, top of six, and it's not over yet.

Catcher drops a pop up out front of the plate, and another run scores. But we did throw the second runner trying to score out at the plate. 9-4 A&M, going to bottom of the 5th.

They say we have an RPI of 8. The eye test right now has to disagree with that.
