It is hard to not go to a school that your parents went to (right?) and grew up rooting for. If he picks Bama, chalk one up for Shula's recruiting ability.

I honestly believe Tim Tebow will be the next #12 at Alabama.
I sure hope you are right Rich. I have heard so much info that has him leaning either to Bama or UF lately that I am a little confused myself. I can't imagine how Tebow must feel. I will be glad to hear him commit on Dec. 14th, hopefully to Bama.

Man am I having fun with this pic today

Tims Tebow will be a gaytor. Tims has planted bombs in Allah Bama recruit list. Big meltdown on Dec 14 will make 9/11 look like schoolyard skirmish. All Alla Bama message boards go "BOOM".

After reading the newest Tebow article on Rivals.. it sounds like Kirschman may be right. Tim Tebow does a awesome job of keeping everyone at bay.. Espn sure did pick the right kid to do this documentary because he is really good at not letting anyone know what he is thinking..

Is Tebow slipping away?

I noticed that when Tebow was asked about his trip to the Swamp last Saturday, he replied "AWESOM"! Does anyone think this may be a bad omen for Bama? I don't want to read too much into this, but if one were to connect the dots the last week or so, one would have to conclude that the signs don't appear to be too great for Bama landing Tebow. I sure hope I'm wrong, but I don't have a good feeling about our chances with Tebow; I hope he surprises me and goes with Bama.

Yes, he had a great visit to Gainesville, his parents are UF alums. However, I think that he likes the direction Bama is headed, and the heart poured out by the team (as well as the fans). My goodness, UF lost to Bama, USC (and that one stings), and LSU, and should have lost to Vandy...... with all that talent.... :biggrin2:

Brodie told Tim he could see him as the successor to #12. Tim, not knowing a lot about Alabama history and tradition, at first didn't understand the significance of #12. But after it was explained to him, Namath, Kenny Stabler, Pat Trammel, he was blown away and understood the honor it would be.

BTW, Brodie wore #5 in HS also.

...well, then nevermind! :D

seriously, thanks for the reply - #12 is big shoes to fill at BAMA and would certainly be a privilege/honor

bamapeach,
Tim did say that his trip as awesome but he also said that it was NEAR the top, not it was the top. Reading into those words, one could say that somewhere else was the top. Bama? Could be "The Top".

While visiting Alabama I see pictures of Tim standing, talking with Don Shula and Joe Namath. Who does he hang out with at Florida?
