This thread is because we tend too much to fall in love with the megathreads and it falls squarely between the general election thread and the Covid thread. The real topic is if he can totally ignore the pandemic all the way into the White House again. Every time they travel, advance personnel and Secret Service fall like flies. They are like a pair of Typhoid Marys - can no one keep them home?

There was a study in the 50’s where a scientist made participants turn wooden pegs for an hour. He paid some $1 and some $20. He then told them to tell the next person that the experiment was fun. Afterwards when he surveyed whether they had fun doing the experiment, and found that an overwhelming number of the $1 participants said Yes.

More or less when people go so deep into a bad decision with little to show for it, they try to convince themselves that they didn’t do it for nothing.

Personally I think Trump cracks first because he has very little to lose. Most Trumpers are in too deep
