Maybe ya'll are on to something with this idea of refusing to kick FG's. What kind of effect would it be on the players if CMS just came out and told them before the game that if they don't cross the goal line than there will be no score. Tell them "we are not going to kick FG's, either you score TD's or we don't score at all, heck we are only going to go for 2 also."
Part of me actually likes that idea. Of course I do love a good scary movie also.

I have to agree. Just like a person who is trying to quit smoking, you have to have the proper motivation. If CMS says we're not kicking field goals and we're running 2 pt conversions only, then he's wielding a pretty hefty motivational tool. Take away the crutch and they will learn to stand.

The no FG thing sounds like a great motivational tool...until we lose and then the Bama Nation calls for CMS's head for not taking the points--multiple times. And you know this would happen. I for one had been talking about our Vanilla O and wanted some variation in playcalling until the Fake FG. It just seemed misplaced for me, but at least he tried something different. So it seems to be that he can't win in our minds although he's winning on the field. I want big wins too, but a win is a win. If we won 14 games this year by a FG...I think I could still be happy!:biggrin:

I think that the players get tired of hearing about the lack of production and take it to another level. This could be like last years South Carolina. Plus we will have another incredible defense by the end of the year and have give up only 27 points to two teams that would both probably beat ULM by two touchdowns or more. This week we will arrive and will walk through everyone we play until LSU (who by the way is the only team that I think will beat us). Next year we will get LSU and everyone else. LSU will smoke Auburn this week and show that they are not nearly as good as everyone believes.
