He's actually been very supportive of the Tide in the run up to this game. I'm actually very appreciative of the way he has backed this team up when he very well could have talked trash about his former employer.

Though one could also suppose that he is just a sane coach who knew exactly what Bama was brining to the table and understood from the beginning which dog to back in the fight.

I do miss him. He's freaking hilarious. I bet he gave CNS fits with his humor and "light heartedness." I could see him walking in to a staff meeting on Monday morning in flip flops, jorts, and a wife beater just to lighten the mood. I don't if he ever did it, but I wouldn't put it passed him.

With Lane you just don't know what "Lane" you are going to get. Good Lane or bad Lane, crazy Lane or sane Lane, flip flop Lane or properly dressed Lane.

Kinda fun to have as your uncle, not your coach.

I think he realized what coach Saban did for him by giving him a job while he was going through a tough time, and he appreciates it. I am glad he is doing well in his new position, and maybe he can get a big time job offer if he keeps it up.

He loves our players.

I hope they get him in the coaches film room for the game next week. I would love to see his commentary.

I'm happy he is gone and equally happy he is doing a good job down there. At one of his press conferences this fall they asked him about FAU fans chanting We Want Bama. He said, "no, you don't." Lane has issues but he has a brilliant grasp of offensive football when you can focus him.
