NIL collective funding per NCAA estimates:
I assumed football but thats a good question. Although the lack of BB only schools makes it seem like FBIs this across all sports or just football?
If coachs/colleges would just say no to this crap and let a few of these players with extreme requests like this one dangle in the portal this stuff would stop.Yep. lol.
“Okay Coach… these are my demands…”
That’s the problem. The guys dumping money into these collectives have more money than brains. And coaches? This is analogous to the coach that allows the “problem player on and off the field” to remain on the team because they can be the difference maker on Saturday. Someone will always be willing to spend a multi millionaire's money on the prima donna that might give them the edge.If coachs/colleges would just say no to this crap and let a few of these players with extreme requests like this one dangle in the portal this stuff would stop.
BTW. Good for Florida
and people still cannot figure out why Saban quit.Yep. lol.
“Okay Coach… these are my demands…”
Guaranteed starting spot and guaranteed to play on 3rd downs.Yep. lol.
“Okay Coach… these are my demands…”
I didn’t blame him at all. I was sorry to see him go but his process won’t work in this version of college football. I would have went to the lake and got a huge pay day from him espn too.and people still cannot figure out why Saban quit.
welcome to today's college football
What these players need to realize is that they are paid employees. Just like the NFL. You can get your money but that is the only thing that is guaranteed.Yep. lol.
“Okay Coach… these are my demands…”
This is a consequence of the whole NIL fiascoYep. lol.

Actually, when I've seen some of the demands, I was shocked that they went far, far beyond money. Number of snaps, starts, targets, etc., stuff that would make a pro GM laugh in your face. I think a lot of have incompetent agents, frequently relatives, HS HCs with a relationship, etc. These street corner "agents" just don't realize what's possible, like pro agents do...What these players need to realize is that they are paid employees. It's completely out of control.I think I'm holding onto memories. The type we will never be able to reproduce under the current landscape of college football.
This crap isn't even recognizable. Mercenaries for hire.....in college football....has killed the sport.
I care, but it's more a care out of anger of what's been taken away. I was mad that I don't want to watch this stuff anymore, but I've grown indifferent.
My son plays on his high school JV basketball team and listening to some of the other parents is really informative in terms of what they think they know as opposed to what they actually know and what their expectations are as opposed to the reality of the team/games/competition/etc.Actually, when I've seen some of the demands, I was shocked that they went far, far beyond money. I've coached little league and babe Ruth ball.....the all star team i coached made me never want to coach again.
