Griffin's minutes were a little less, but his points were almost half.

We also lost Walter, Cosby, and Parker

It's not even close. Youngblood has won some games for Bama, Holloway has been surprisingly good and Cliff is a big improvement over Wague/Pringle. Hoping Oats can repeat it because we lose way more after this year is over. Lots of really tough pieces to replace.

We absolutely came out ahead. Holloway was the biggest surprise and I think he's made the biggest impact out of all the transfers. Mallete would have been great I think, a Wrightsell 2.0. Hopefully we get him back next year.
Mallette honestly might be our missing piece. We'll hopefully find out next year, but I think Oats said he was the best leader on the team, and I know he was supposed to provide some of the defense and 3 point shooting we lost from Griffen. When we let Griffen walk, it was with the understanding that we'd have Mallette. We may very well win a national title without him, but it sure would be nice to have him.

I know the guys who left didn’t do better except Wague. Part of that is our pace is much faster than other teams but still no one really stepped out and improved imo. Griffin was kinda lost in a shuffle with lot of wings fighting for time. Walters was 9th or 10th man off bench for Michigan and guy I expect to transfer his game just not translating to upper level conferences imo and I was super high on him. Kinda like Stevenson just seems like a guy that doesn’t play trough contact well. Wague improved at Oklahoma but think that was more he wasn’t a fit here. Not super athletic at the rim or a shooter for pick and pop type guy. Pringle was about same from times I saw him but not any dominant games we saw from him every once and awhile but I didn’t watch them too much.

Stevenson: that's the perfect way to describe his game. He seems off balance with even the slightest contact (not referring to the contact he took yesterday on the way to the basket which should have been a foul) but he just seems to be off balance half the time. Plus, as a shooter he's our biggest bricklayer. I really was nervous about him going into the draft and was excited he decided to return, but knowing how it's gone, having his spot open up to another 4 spot transfer would have probably helped us more than he has in his return.

Pringle: He probably transferred to get what he wanted more of: playing time. But, when I think about some of our rebounding woes and getting pushed around inside, he would have been a great sub. But, he just didn't fit what CNO is looking for in a 4 or 5 to get major playing time.

Even with the injury losses we've had, I think Holloway tips the balance towards the positive. His shooting has picked up at times when Sears was off. I'll admit I was a little put off when he transferred and, watching him last season, I wondered if he deserved his recruiting ranking. Credit him and Oats for realizing he was a fit here. What puzzles me is our defense. We go from dogged determination to "Ole'" from one game to another. Same thing with our offensive rebounding...

CNO needs to brush off his pregame prep/speech he had against AU the last game of the regular season.

We were locked and loaded that game with preparation and urgency in all phases of the game.

If we played like that for the next five games in the tourney we cut down the nets.
