Rumor is that Ford's papers are at ncaa clearinghouse right now. Don't know if it is true or not.

it's not just on that site, but all of them pretty much.....

this could mean very little or mean a lot......

it could mean that they believe he has his scores high enough to get in and thats the reason they were sent in.....

it could mean that they were sent in REGARDLESS of what his scores were so that he could play at SOME level next year......

Juco doesn't require the Clearinghouse, does it?

The kid graduated from High School and Hargrave. ACT test scores don't factor into the Clearinghouse for JUCO eligibility, do they? I could easily be wrong on this, but isn't the point of JUCO to allow Prop 48 type of guys to get into school? Any info is appreciated. Hope he makes it, we need a home run type of back for the long haul.

hargrave is not a junior college, it's a prepatory school, it's still technically a high school.

That's gigama's point. They wouldn't send in his scores if he were going to a Juco because you don't need them. If you graduate from high school you are automatically admitted to Juco's, so there would be no need to send his scores in. Now, if there are D2 & D3 schools in the mix, I would imagine that they do have to have scores.

Well they pinned the thread about Ford on Bamamag so I think that there is defintely some truth to it.
I pray that he gets in because of my understanding that he has worked his butt off to get qualified.

Amen! And he's an awesome player that seems to have his dreams set to play at Alabama so hopefully he can have his dreams come true because he's an awesome player!

Well it was no news, is bad news, so this bit of Ford news is at least encouraging. I wish I could say we will know something about Mike Ford's NCAA Clearinghouse approval soon. Unfortunately recent history has proven it could take until after fall practice starts before anything definite is known. Good luck Mike, we are all pulling for you.

You have got to hand it to Ford. He took the test, filed admission papers, and it's July so, I'd expect his paperwork to be in the clearinghouse. And not so much as a peep in the media. His devotion to Bama has been unwavering but, his awareness of media manipulation and ability to avoid even the slightest public controversy speaks volumes. This Bama fan will be a Ford fan [[[ALMOST]]] regardless of where ends up playing.

The way some of the people on this board seem to think is that he'll definitely see snaps early and often if he comes in physically ready. Try to take advantage of his eligibility as soon as possible because of his previous grade issues.
