It may be for some, but others (like myself) have long realized this "B.S." called politics in America is made up of people who care about nothing but their own interests and don't care one thing about the average American citizen or the overall health of the country. All it takes is going back through history to realize both parties have lied at some point, both parties have made promises that they were in a position to keep but didn't, people in both parties have somehow become very, very rich while supposedly only making a modest salary in office. Both parties have been caught in scandals at one point or another etc. They're nothing more than jealous siblings who, at the end of the day, share a lot of the same traits.

I guess some people truly believe one party is better than the other, more honest than the other, and more sincere than the other. I'm just not one of those people. I lean conservative but am under no delusion that this mess we have in office right now cares one thing about me or he wouldn't be doing some of the things he's doing or handling them the way he has. But I'm also under no delusion that the democratic party is any better.

Yeah, the truth is that they both suck. I realized that more than 30 years ago. The idea that anyone with any amount of experience on this earth would put faith in a politician or political party is the height of self-delusion. But, we see it everywhere and it produces some of the most hilarious takes from the tribalists. Case in point, Biden's mental decline on full display being waived off as just a stutter.

That being said, I was never a fan of Bill Maher. When I watched his "Politically Incorrect" (usually when my now ex had turned me down for some amorous affections), he struck me as snippy and arrogant and sort of a condescending snark, almost like his show was its own SNL skit. You sometimes got the idea that they were handed scripts to match their personalities.

Yes, even George Carlin.

I've never watched a full episode of "Real Time," but during the pandemic his "New Rules" became a guilty pleasure.

But again, he's just saying what us non-lefties have been saying for years on "how you keep losing elections." I can't link it because of one word by if you go to You Tube and watch Maher My Lawyer, he roars through a lot of it and comes out at the end for the Democrats but points out why they keep losing.

Which, of course, apparently means he must be a conservative......
