I don't disagree, but not with all drugs currently tied up in this debate. When the use of a drug like THC becomes as prevalent as it is in our society (and has been for many decades), you have to consider legalization. It's risks to society have been shown to be even lower than alcohol's.

Some would support the legalization of any/all drugs. I do not. But we need to reconsider THC.
I do not believe that legalization of THC is the slippery slope to legalization of others that some think it is. We will have to agree to disagree on the dangers. When enough people believe as you do instead of as I do we may see this happen.

Even The Netherlands (as one person used as example) still recognize the danger and have some controls on their 'coffee shops'. Other than Thailand I can't think of a place I have been that has less controls. I personally would not want to live in either environment.

How could legalization of THC impact cartels that smuggle drugs other than THC? MJ is a local cash crop grown all over America. The cartels smuggle much more dangerous drugs.
It would not. I think those using reduction of violence as a reason for legalization are either dragging a red herring, or just uninformed.

Great thread. I would have to said is what I know about it is to legalize pot.. Like someone said that a loser is a loser with or without this product. Know many that partake and doesn't really affect their daily life with family and the job. Also would rather work around someone high on pot than someone drunk.
I have seen many get hurt from drinking than from pot smoking.
