Did not get a chance to follow this one. But after looking at the stats. One sticks out to me like a sore thumb missed free throws 13/25 that will lose you some close games definitely got to improve on that. Oh well got to learn from this one and get ready for the next one.

This, everyone complains about refs but when you go to the line 25 times and make 13 you can only blame yourself

We are better than we showed last night. We will be very competitive in all our tough OCC games and we will win some of them. The Zags will be a tough out but we can beat Houston and Memphis if we play well. Some getting too negative over one game. This is b'ball and not football.

I'm sorry, but it's hard not to get negative over a disastrous FT display like yesterday's. If I were scheming against UA right now, I'd burn the bottom half of my bench until they all fouled out, just to get Bama to the FT line. Instead of "hack a Shaq," it'd be "hack a Tide." I had suspected that FT shooting must not be practiced, but I didn't know for sure until it came out yesterday that it's policy not to "waste" practice time on it. I don't see why there can't be a spread sheet made up and a number of practice FTs assigned based on the player's success or lack of it in games. I understand that you can't require it, but it can certainly affect PT - legitimately. Far more FTs are missed for lack of practice until it's automatic than are missed because of faulty mechanics...

You can have bad mechanics but as long as it's repeatable you're good. The pro golfer Jim Furyk comes to mind.

To base your entire offensive philosophy on drives to the hoop and thus score or fouls, and then threes, and NOT guarantee proficiency in one of those core tenants, is just lunacy.

Yeah Holmgren is good. Just don't know how his body is going to hold up when he's forced to bang inside with beefier guys. 190 at 7'1 is thin as hell.
