Sources: LSU firing athletic director Scott Woodward days after Brian Kelly's termination
Scott Woodward’s firing means that LSU is now looking for a president and an athletic director along with a football coach.
I think you're right. The Guvnah is now saying that the Louisiana taxpayers will pay Kelly's buyout. I'm not at all sure he can unilaterally do that. While I don't pretend to know the law in Louisiana, it's usually the legislature's job to distribute taxpayer money.I believe we’re looking at an institution that’s about to go “ALL-IN” on the new landscape of college football…in relation to the focus during the hiring of a president, athletic director, and head coach. All the “proper academic language” will be used during public discussions relating to the search and hiring process of the prez and AD…but behind closed doors it will sound very different.
100% this
They may as well fire the Governor while they're at it.
Currently, they have no head coach, players looking to jump in the portal, assistant coaches trying to find their next job, no AD, no president, and national signing day on the horizon. What could possibly go wrong?
I would be flabbergasted if CNS did something that stupid. One thing this might do is cause Nick Saban to run away screaming.
If he turned down UTw largely because of their boosters' refusal to stop meddling, how would he feel about spending ages 75 - 78 dealing with a maroon like Landry?
This guy makes a freight train carrying a Tomahawk missile look subtle.
AmenMay the natural consequences of this clown show manifest themselves fully upon their football team for years to come.
