HC in waiting @alma mater 'Cocky for Little Willie.Hmmmmmm. Will he be an ANALYST on Coach Saban's staff next year or do you have to be FIRED to get that gig?
Is he even a candidate? Serious question, I haven't seen his name mentioned.Go get em Butch Jones!
Don't know about that! It's gonna be hard for State in recruiting, with what all has gone on there over the past couple years...! This year ranked 43rd with all 3* commits...I can see Fleck rowing his boat all the way to East Lansing.
I hope any huge pockets that they have/may have had, are severely depleted or wiped out by lawsuits...Don't know about that! It's gonna be hard for State in recruiting, with what all has gone on there over the past couple years...! This year ranked 43rd with all 3* commits...
Me Thinks Dantonio saw the writing on the walls and decided now was the time...
Unless State has huge pockets, Fleck should stay were he is...
I don't see MSU being enough of an upgrade to make that move now, or even if it's is an upgrade at all.Unless State has huge pockets, Fleck should stay were he is...
They have been to a playoff. Some places in Texas, West Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and California cannot say the same.I don't see MSU being enough of an upgrade to make that move now, or even if it's is an upgrade at all.
Can't tell without access to the contract, but usually a longevity bonus has a hard qualifying date. You either make the date or you don't. There's rarely any "Indian-giver" clause. What's much more common is the reverse - an employer terminating a contract to keep an employee from reaching the date...Hmm, I'm surprised there wasn't something put in the contract of that bonus to keep him from doing this. But, maybe they don't mind him leaving.
Yeah and they got DESTROYED. That job is not as attractive as it would’ve been had he left 4 years agoThey have been to a playoff.
True. So this was hush money? What's much more common is the reverse - an employer terminating a contract to keep an employee from reaching the date...
Maybe not if it was built in years ago...True. So this was hush money?
Not originally, but given the timing of his resignation, it seems like someone was waiting for something. So, perhaps the powers that be said he had to go, but if he went quietly, they would let him collect his bonus first.Maybe not if it was built in years ago...
In my best Yoda voiceYeah and they got DESTROYED. That job is not as attractive as it would’ve been had he left 4 years ago
Yup. One more good season and let Urban turn down USCw again and much better jobs will likely open.I think Luke will stick with Cincy another year as he has something brewing. Probably holds out for big money next year. State needs to swing for the fences on this one. Should take the Mississippi schools as an example of building excitement back into their program.
