Big surprise: Charlotte radio interviewed CMG's top assistant, former UNCC coach Bobby Lutz, and he says the Wooden high-post will be the base offense of NC State. He says they will also play upppppppppp-temmmmmmpohhhhhhhh.
That is until Duke, UNC, and FSU put the clamps on them defensively with full court pressure. Then it is the matter of inbounding the ball.Big surprise: Charlotte radio interviewed CMG's top assistant, former UNCC coach Bobby Lutz, and he says the Wooden high-post will be the base offense of NC State. Not to worry, LD. I hear Bill Walton, Sidney Wicks and Lucious Allen have some eligibility left. That is until Duke, UNC, and FSU put the clamps on them defensively with full court pressure. Then it is the matter of inbounding the ball.

I was only identifying the "short list" of ACC teams!you cant diss CMG on getting handled every year by Duke and NC.. All of the other ACC teams get handled by them on a regular basis. NC State could come out well in this. They have a great atmosphere at that gym when the team is playing well
Recruiting was rarely his problem at Bama. We had talent. It was coaching the talent that I think most people take issue with. We'll see what he does this fall.I am hearing a lot of positives out of Raleigh...about how he has learned from his mistakes and is working hard on many fronts, especially recruiting and maintaining the recruits who have committed, etc. The NC State fans I know are starting to feel very positive about this move.
In a nutshell, exactly. I am glad that CMG is getting them to do a 180 on his hiring but Mark is a good marketing guy. Hiring Lutz is not a bad move but Lutz was not the same coach once UNCC got into the A10 but still a pretty good hire. If he hires Harrick, he will have the NCAA on him and will take a pr hit in the media. His one saving grace is that Mark never really had any off the court issues in regards to NCAA or discipline issues. The guy did seem to run a pretty clean program from a prespective standpoint. I just hope he gets a point guard in Raleigh with "some heart".Recruiting was rarely his problem at Bama. We had talent. It was coaching the talent that I think most people take issue with. Never look back!Does anybody wonder what would have happened if Chuck Davis hadn't torn his ACL? We were really starting to become an excellent team -- and he was an unbelievable scoring threat.....
Actually, that particular team was really struggling when Chuck went down and caught fire once he went down. That was a great mystery to me because I don't think Chuck was anywhere close to a cancer on the team.Does anybody wonder what would have happened if Chuck Davis hadn't torn his ACL?
