I know the best way to avoid the traffic is to park at a Marta station and ride to the Ga Dome. My question is whether Marta will run late b/c of the game.

Marta's website said they stop running at 12:30AM and since the game starts at 8PM, it's definitely possible the game could run until Midnight. The schedule online says that they run special times for holidays and major events. Anyone know if Marta will be running later for the big event so those of us who park and ride don't get stranded?

I just emailed customer service at Marta to ask, but I figured I'd ask if anyone on here would know. If nobody knows, I'll post when Marta gets back with me. I seriously hope that they'll run late for the special event.

They usually run service on the weekends later. Per this press release the service Saturday night is until 1am. If the game goes 5 hours I'll be truly shocked - that would mean something like 7 overtimes.

I actually sent Marta and email asking the same thing last week, with the same concerns. They replied that they will run later b/c of the late game, no problem.

I am not able to make the game, but I will go ahead and let you guys know that the Marta station that is at the 1st exit past the I-285 bypass (Exit 52) is a great station to use. I use it every time I attend a Braves game. We ride from there to the downtown station where they have charter buses waiting to transport you too the front steps of Turner Field. Just thought I would throw that out there for y'all

I recommend getting to the Marta stations early! The parking lots fill up much quicker than you would think.

Ride out earlier in the day and go to GameDay (Centennial Olympic Park), walk around the CNN center or visit the activities they have going on at the World Congress Center. They're all within walking distance of the WCC/Georgia Dome Marta station.
