I really have no issues with playing games like this. Glad Grant Nelson got to go back home, where his family and friends got to watch him play. They will remember this game for the rest of their lives. RTR!

I did't get to watch any of the game. When I went to bed I checked the score and it was 85 all with about 2 minutes to go. Before I went to sleep and saw we pulled it out.

So someone give a summary. I was expecting an easier win. Did ND play up to us OR did we play down to them?

Didn't watch the entire game, fell asleep. It definitely was a play down to your opponent type of game for us. Still seems like we're having trouble closing out teams.

Went on a little run in the first part of the second half and thought we'd finally put them away and went to sleep. Guess that didn't happen.

Eaglestaff is something else. Very interesting last name.

Hey sorry I wasn't able to be online for the game last night. I have it on my youtube but it may be b/c I have 4K + sports channels? Not sure if it's standard or not.

I"m guessing their front court probably didn't match up well against our bigs? Did most of Nelson's points come in the paint?

Exactly. Nelson was able to get in the lane pretty much any time he wanted to, lots of OREB. He was able to beat a few guys off dribble as well, some of the best basketball I've seen him play here.

Throw in 3 Blocks and a Hard Hat award as well.

It's not "tampering" if, when CNO shook his hand last night, he said, "Want to shoot more threes in a Crimson jersey next year???"

Nice! Against the right matchups, this is the best version of Nelson.

I know he's got the green light from CNO to shoot the 3, but he's wildly unpredictable (as is Sherrell). I'd really like to see those guys take fewer threes and leave that to our better shooters. I know part of the reason for the bigs being outside around the 3 point line is due to spacing, but just because you are open doesn't mean the 3 is the best option.
