I have long dreamt of a day when Bama would be a perennial contender for the BB NC. We've already reached that point 2-3 years ago but today seems like another milestone to me. We're #2 in the nation facing our in-state rivals who are #1 and the entire college basketball world is focused on Tuscaloosa, AL today for this game. We're not strangers to this as Bama fans, it's commonplace for the football team but for basketball, this is beyond huge. I just hope the team uses the hype and attention as a motivation and it's not a distraction. Tipoff can't get here soon enough!

Well I watched that game and it was a dead crowd but that was due to middling play. Don't think this crowd will be sitting on their hands for this one.

I also thought the crowd on game day was a pretty sad showing. At one point, then the crew was all saying Duke was the best team in the country, Rece Davis tried to get some noise going by saying something like “do y’all hear who they haven’t mentioned but, it failed. Very little noise.

It's probably a good idea to spell him. Serious blow but the calculus of doing so is sensible. More important to have him for the postseason than now.
