Recorded the game, went to bed and got up early Sunday to watch.

It felt from the beginning like this was a game we should have won but...

- Team chemistry is still a problem/CNO is struggling to pull the right strings.
- TOs - part of team chemistry issues
- Terrible shooting night - it happens, but it hit the whole team
- FT struggles - has been an issue early this year
- "the Sears' dilemma" - I think we lean too heavily on him. Way too much of the offense runs thru him. I don't like him running point. Think he should be used more with off the ball screens. He's a 3 point sharpshooter and if he plays in the NBA that'll be why. While he's a strong driver he depends on that too much and gets himself in trouble in the lane among the trees. Philon is much better suited for this role on the team, IMO.
-Failure to adjust - I think this was the type of game we needed to try to post up Grant more. He's a matchup problem most of the time. I know he can be sloppy and TO prone but that was the whole team last night. Grants shooting FTs about as good as anyone too. And to be honest, I've been disappointed in Cliff's offensive skills. Outside of alley-oops he's an offensive liability.

On Wrightsell - I hate it for him. He's been snakebitten with injuries. We'll miss his 3 point game.

But on this team this year, it might clarify the guard rotation a little bit. When Youngblood returns we'll see how this shakes out, but unless Wrightsell has been heaving three's he struggled with ball handling and TOs.

I hope we get an update on Wrightsell soon. Hate to even see Oats mention achilles.. He will be sorely missed. I think we'll be okay in the meantime while Youngblood recovers.

We've already won some big games and played great teams very well even in losses. This season seems to be trending similar to last year albeit with a better defense. I think our D still has improvements to make. This NC and Creighton stretch will be an interesting one. I still think we're getting better.

Am I the only one who thinks Sears is a step slower this year? Not sure if he's a little more muscle bound or what. He just doesn't seem to have the same quickness he had before. Could be playstyle changes but something is different with him.

I’ll be honest, everything I’ve heard about Achilles snapping is that when it happens, you know immediately. The fact that they are saying they are still checking give me hope. Now they could just be protecting at this point.
I had wondered where Youngblood would get minutes but with Trelly’s injury, minutes just became available.

It could be that teams have the knowledge that you can't let him go left. He did add muscle/strength and it shows.

I just think he needs to understand his game/future is better outside the the 3 point line.

Even if they think they know, I bet the won't say anything definitive until the imaging comes back.

I thinknwe are seeing some of the same issues we saw with Quinerly when he was here - too much watch me hero ball.

I think this may be a struggle all season. Being careful with the ball shouldn't undermine their willingness to share the ball, which I think they are doing a good job of.

I just think we need to see more than one guard hitting shots on the night. And we have not really had that on the road yet.

Had we not had Mo stepup we would be having a different conversation today.
