It is the biggest mystery of how bad he looks. Yes it was a low level conference but he still held his own against better competition.I just don't understand even putting #15 on the floor. He brings nothing that I can see

We WERE on pace, but having spurts of poor execution kinda making it harder.I want over 100. let's go!
Teams shooting 3s more than ever. Lots of long rebounds. Teams spread the floor and on defense it's harder to get into rebounding position. Plus, with today's athletes, securing the restricted area isn't always the best rebounding position with teams taking so many outside shots.I know we are emphasizing rebounding to the media and maybe with the players. But the technique and spacing for rebounds in live games looks like they dont work on it in practice. We rarely had numbers last night to win rebounds, not enough guys going after the basketball. I didnt see any box out technique utilized. Too many guys within the restricted area where the ball just bounces over your head.
A change in strategy we is needed.
And Williamson is not even playing to the level of a decent high school player right now. You might as well play 5 on 4 as put him on the court. He is just in the way.
Yes to an extent. But we have numbers or match numbers in defensive rebounding but bama guys just don’t go get it or have weak hands. They are simply getting beat excluding Allen really. Bama playing 5 out doesn’t help but the bigger issue is bama defensive rebounding giving up 2-4 shots to good teams.Teams shooting 3s more than ever. Lots of long rebounds. When we are on offense, we open have 4 or 5 behind the 3 point line when we shoot. We can't crash the boards with all of them or we get beat going the other way with long rebounds.
I think our offensive style of play will always limit our offensive rebounding. And I think our roster configuration doesn't always do us favors in defensive rebounding.
