OMAHA, NE – No. 7 national seed Alabama baseball will begin its Men's College World Series run against Oklahoma on Saturday, June 13. The Crimson Tide previously claimed two of three games in Norman earlier this season and is 9-4 all-time in 13 previous contests with the Sooners.

According to the announcers, you would think OU are the Yankees and we are some Little League team.

A little extreme but not totally inaccurate when you really break it down. We are a team with only 2 batters over 300 and a team that committed 80+ errors in SEC play. Really we massively overachieved getting here and any win in Omaha is a huge accomplishment. The 2023 team is way better than this team in terms of talent and experience. I love this team but they mostly got here on guts and strong will. This is a program building team and not really one that you EXPECT to make serious noise in Omaha.


Oklahoma is a team that should have been far better than what they did in the regular season. They are highly talented and a team that expects to be here. Injuries and just flukes hurt them. But something just clicked in Atlanta and they are by far the hottest team entering Omaha. They remind me of the ole miss team that won it all.
