Auburn typically doesn’t find its pixie dust works in Bryant-Denny.

Were the game on the plains, I’d have some nerves about it.

*2010 was more about our injuries and how they ultimately hindered our ability to widen the first half lead, and protect it in the second, not some Auburn magic. Granted, the Ingram fumble is still one of the most bizarre plays I’ve ever seen.
So was the Barron attempt at the easy int with a bum labrum. Surefire int turned into 70+ TD pass for AU. Prior was the Richardson easy TD drop that 90% of the women in the stadium would have caught. Then the GM fumble on the AU 5 or so just before the half; it laid on the ground for approx 15 minutes before ?Fairly? discovered it with his Geiger counter, then fell on it. It was not Bama's day.

To be fair, AU had 2 defensive cogs suspended for the first half: Goggans and ??. Also, though Bama was much more talented, IMO, AU had the better "team". But 3 or 4 on Bama's first team OL were out or playing hurt. Richardson was injured, Barron should have not tried to play (though credit to him for trying), Julio went out late in the game. I'm sure there were others. The whole scene was amazing.

Yeah...counting the MI fumble and the ones you mention that's a huge point swing...even if they don't score that a good 21 point swing on the scoreboard if we just score those 3 TDs. I think if we score just one more in the first half the second half AU crush doesn't happen.

I've never seen such a crazy turn of events. I rank it as my most disappointing Bama loss in the CNS era and I was on the 50 yard line for La. Monroe in '07.

But that’s what I’m saying; most of those were due to injuries. We were truly a very banged up team at that point in 2010. Even Ingram and Richardson were battling more than just run of the mill wear and tear.

You left out the Mark Ingram fumble in the second quarter on his way, down the sideline, to the endzone that would have given Bama a 28-0 lead.

The post to which I was responding mentioned that play so I didn't repeat it. But you're right - that was one of the more remarkable plays I've ever seen. If the ball had broken to the right it would have gone out of bounds or to the left, Bama had a chance to recover, but it rolled like a perfectly round baseball or basketball. But the Barron play was the most devastating - a sure int turned into a 70 yd TD. The timing was really bad too - it was at the beginning of the 2nd half. It contributed to a sense of foreboding which I'm sure the team felt.

You mean the Ingram fumble that ROLLED IN A STRAIGHT $@@@&$(&)”$”;&:/);&(@ LINE FOR THIRTY YARDS RIGHT BESIDE THE SIDELINE AND REFUSED TO GO OUT OF BOUNDS NO MATTER HOW FAST I WAVED MY ARMS OR BLEW AT MY TV SCREEN?!?! Or are you talking about a different one?

My only interaction with ND fans was in Miami in 2012 at the BCSNC game. They couldn't have been nicer and more classy and that was before the game; a game they thought they had a chance to win. During and after the game they seemed to accept the loss as well as possible. JMO of course.
Our experience with Bama fans was the same in Miami, although part of my chalked it up to you all knowing better than we did what would happen haha

I was in the north end zone for the 1980 ND vs Bama, there was an overly drunk obnoxious
ND fan decked out in the green yelling screaming and just being a bad example of a human being, we all let him slide until...… There was an older gentleman (65-70) dressed in his Crimson corduroy jacket and hounds tooth hat walking up the stairs and this Domer pushes him down on is way up. I was instantly incensed (in an instant in the back of my mind I heard my father "If you let this jerk get away with abusing this gentleman then you and I will have a date behind the wood shed" I popped up to swing but another fellow about 12 inches taller and about 40 pounds heavier beat me to it and landed a picture perfect upper cut to the bottom jaw, after the punch and ten rows of stairs later 2 ushers escorted him back to his seat just a little bloodier and a heck of a lot quieter. He was a model citizen the rest of the game. I have always been a proud Tide fan but never prouder than that day.
