So was the Barron attempt at the easy int with a bum labrum. Surefire int turned into 70+ TD pass for AU. Prior was the Richardson easy TD drop that 90% of the women in the stadium would have caught. Then the GM fumble on the AU 5 or so just before the half; it laid on the ground for approx 15 minutes before ?Fairly? discovered it with his Geiger counter, then fell on it. It was not Bama's day.Auburn typically doesn’t find its pixie dust works in Bryant-Denny.
Were the game on the plains, I’d have some nerves about it.
*2010 was more about our injuries and how they ultimately hindered our ability to widen the first half lead, and protect it in the second, not some Auburn magic. Granted, the Ingram fumble is still one of the most bizarre plays I’ve ever seen.
To be fair, AU had 2 defensive cogs suspended for the first half: Goggans and ??. Also, though Bama was much more talented, IMO, AU had the better "team". But 3 or 4 on Bama's first team OL were out or playing hurt. Richardson was injured, Barron should have not tried to play (though credit to him for trying), Julio went out late in the game. I'm sure there were others. The whole scene was amazing.
