As a longsuffering Falcons fan, I always liked Vick but hated how he squandered his talent and opportunities by being stupid and doing evil things. He's long paid his debt, served hard time, and deserves a shot, IMHO.

Will be interesting to see if, like Prime, he gets guys on board that might have gone elsewhere.

He personality is vastly different than Prime so don't know how he will do. I hope it works out for him.

Just glad the mascot isn't a dog.

Sorry for the dark humor.

The skill set of a player is different from that of a coach, still, being from the Tidewater, he might resonate with kids going to NSU and he might do quite well. It really depends on where his head is at right now.

The VA Beach/Hampton Roads area is loaded with talent.

Be interesting to see who he can bring in, but initially I think he will be able to get a lot of good players.

Good for him. Hated him in college for obvious reasons but loved him on madden haha

in all seriousness I loved the way he turned his life around. Got out of jail and started a charity for at risk youths so maybe they could have the guidance he never got. Then won nfc offensive player of the year his first? year back. No one is perfect and it’s what you do with those second chances that counts. Wish him all the best

This will be interesting to see and would love to see him succeed. Just hope it doesn't end up like a Trent Dilfer situation at UAB.
Dilfer talked tough with all sorts of threats before he actually had to coach a game there. Great HS coach. Meh on his college coaching - 7-17 in 2 seasons.

UAB AD: "I have seen Coach Dilfer's dedication and believe that his football IQ, commitment to UAB, passion for the game, love for student-athletes and relentless work ethic will pay off in the near future."

He could turn it around in year 3 ... but it's still UAB. Kudos to him for not getting fired yet since his football IQ is so high.

That pretty much sums up how I feel about him.
What he did was horrendous...and he paid for it by spending a few years in prison and lost about $100mm.

I think he paid his price to society and appears to have turned his life around.

If we, as a society, actually believe in redemption and second chances, I think he's earned it.

Bill Clark was the only one that brought magic to that place. Magic being, good players that played defense, ran the ball and stopped the run. They'd be wise to try to bring him back at all cost.

Doing time is a start. I am not aware of other things that he might have done to redeem himself. Maybe someone who believes that he has redeemed himself could fill in those gaps?

He redeemed himself. He did great job of that. But Let's focus on his coaching potential, not what he did before.

being In MEAC conference is a good start for him. I think he'll do well. Just build experienced staff and coach those kids up and I think he can land himself a big opportunity eventually in next few years.

Good for him. It has been 18 years since the dog fighting ring news broke. He did time, has spoken out against dog fighting and helped lobby to get a bill passed ot outlaw spectating at animal fights. I have no idea how genuine any of his actions are in regard to what he did, but every time he is in the spotlight he has to answer questions about it which keeps animal fighting at the forefront of discussions. So in the bigger picture it probably means more good will come out of it. As far as coaching goes...I guess we will see. He definitely has the potential to relate to kids coming out of that area.
