The first night Ty Simpson was @ the draft supporting the Bama players. Classy move by him.
I figured he was lying… lol
He has more potential than either, easily. Stronger, faster, cannon arm. If the Seahawks find the secret sauce to turn his acumen around they will have the steal of the draft.I think it's funny Milroe was selected ahead of both Sanders and Ewers.
I think the weakness in his game is fairly evident in that he's not seeing the field as well as he should, but I also don't think our OL did him any favors last year. I've seen good QB's wilt under the pounding that he took. If he gets protection he can certainly make all the throws. I'm actually not that high on his mobility. He's fast but not a good scrambler. I also don't see him having a "special package" this year. He would have to win the #2 QB job to do that because they only have 2 active for games. I think his best chance at success is to forget his legs and do what Jalen Hurts did, learn to read defenses. He has more potential than either, easily. Stronger, faster, cannon arm. Seattle is the luckiest place on earth since Gaza.
Looks like he took a pay cut to me.$1.1m signing bonus
$6.26m over 4 years

Seahawks Make Major Jalen Milroe Announcement
The Seattle Seahawks signed former Alabama Crimson Tide QB Jalen Milroe to his rookie contract on Tuesday.sports.yahoo.com
I wish him HUGE success in the pros and I want his agent to rep me in my next contract negotiation.
The "official" end of the Jalen Milroe saga. Never thought I'd see the day!
Would love to know your thoughts on Jalen now and how much they might have changed (or not) compared to your support of him during the Milroe debates during his playing days.I think it's funny Milroe was selected ahead of both Sanders and Ewers.
That's very possible in today's college NIL world. I can tell you for certain Shadeur Sanders took a massive pay cut.Looks like he took a pay cut to me.
Not that we need confirmation, but this surely suggests something is wrong with NIL if a QB, with JM's weaknesses, is paid more in college than he can make in the NFL.That's very possible in today's college NIL world. I can tell you for certain Shadeur Sanders took a massive pay cut.
I think if this continues, you'll start to see players like this stay through their senior year. Why go to the NFL a year early and take a pay cut when you can make more money by staying for your senior season? Not that we need confirmation, but this surely suggests something is wrong with NIL if a QB, with JM's weaknesses, is paid more in college than he can make in the NFL.
And as someone said, the only guarantee about JM's pro $ is his signing bonus and this year's pay. If he is cut after next year, the rest of that contract won't be realized.
Hard to tell how he will do in Seattle. The pros don't blitz like they do in college. That would certainly help. I think he does well. It'll be interesting to see.Would love to know your thoughts on Jalen now and how much they might have changed (or not) compared to your support of him during the Milroe debates during his playing days.
They may not blitz as often, but the pressure packages come from all over and are very hard to read, especially for somebody who isn't good at reading defenses in the first place.Hard to tell how he will do in Seattle. To be more specific, I was wondering more about how you view his legacy as a Bama QB now that his career here is over.Hard to tell how he will do in Seattle. The pros don't blitz like they do in college. That would certainly help. I think he does well. It'll be interesting to see.
