Honestly… they are the most insufferable bunch of fans and people on the internet right now.

I really don’t care who wins the job as long as they do well. I got a friend whose business is tied to Bama success so I never cheer against any player. But I’ve seen way too many people get giddy after yesterday’s performance and start the “Tommy Rees is sabotaging Milroe to get Buchner to start” crap.

I really don’t have much hope in this team winning a championship this year anymore. They are far too immature and far too in meeting their own standards instead of the Bama standard right now. So right now I’m looking at it as a mediocre high school team would in that a good season would be “beating two rivals, win HC, and win a few other games to get better next year”

Earlier on ESPN Finebaum said Rees has been a disaster and was surprised he made the plane ride home. People who know know. Milroe isn’t a great QB by any means but the scheme and play calling have been atrocious.

Why have the snaps from center literally been all over the place?!? ANY QB is at a disadvantage when he doesn't know where (and sometimes when) the ball is going when snapped. 🙄

Reading what some here are saying, one would think Simpson is the greatest quarterback ever in the history of Alabama football. He did ok. Just ok. He completed 5 of 9 passes. What...55%. He did not do anything great or special.

Yeah, but when you consider the defense was in his face from the getgo, and the fact that it was his first real action, and that he's barely gotten to practice with the first team, there's a lot to like about his performance. There's a lot of room for improvement, but as this.point, he's the one who gives me the most hope, maybe because he's the only one who doesn't scare the everliving daylight out of me every time he lets go of the football. I don't think Ty Simpson throws either of those interceptions against Texas, and that is the reason I was impressed. It's low bar maybe, but we have to start somewhere.

Milroe sure has a big fan club in the media. RGIII, Finebaum, and I believe Booger McFarland all said he's the best choice with what we got. They act like we're doomed if he doesn't start. I'd just remind them it's not totally over for Milroe and he could return if Simpson screws up badly, but Simpson deserves a shot. I think if he can complete one or two deep balls against OM he'll get the confidence needed to do a decent job.

Something was just off with the team yesterday. I don't know why we are all assuming Milroe could have done any better yesterday. Buchner and Simpson both looked good against MTSU, so for all we know, they would have balled out like Milroe did, so it's hard to lean on the MTSU performance and say he would have done better yesterday. Better playcalling and O line play will lend to better results than the USF game. But going by the Texas game, any decent team will stack the box against Milroe and force him to throw it, and we saw what happened. What people seem to be so afraid of with Ty in saying we couldn't move the ball is exactly what happened with Milroe against Texas. So I say, let's try something we haven't tried before because our championship hopes hang in the balance.

Yea that’s not going to cut it in sec play but neither will this line or milroe. Milroe does not see the field or go through progressions.
I can at least say that on the play Ty got sacked first on it was a 7 man pressure. He looked right it was one on one but not really all that open he looks to the mid and got hit from the blind side from someone unblocked less than 3 seconds for him but he was going through progression. Now he needs better pocket awareness for sure but that in itself is an improvement from milroe. He also should get a better sense of the pocket the more experience he gets.
Something that is kind of overlooked a lot but he also had two throw aways. I would rather see that than forcing an interception or taking the sack. Now he took his share of sacks but as he senses the pocket better he can bail or throw it away.

To me the pass to dipre is the single best pass of any QB this season. That’s a high level throw if it is hit consistently. It was on a rope right on target. Nobody else on this team has shown they can make it but him. Milroe might have some that have been further or for a td but as far as pure pass that was the best one of the season so far.

There seems to be a lot of buzz about which QB is better, to the point where there seems to be 2 "camps" emerging: The Milroe crowd and the Simpson crowd. I know that is stating the obvious. I said after the spring that Ty Simpson was the QB and the roster. I continue to believe that due to a few factors that include taking care of the ball, ball velocity, underneath accuracy, quick release, and being comfortable in the pocket. Milroe has a cannon and some serious wheels. wSome are ready to blame Rees. There is not a whole lot you can call schematically when you are getting whipped up front-screens, maybe...

However, none of this makes a difference. It is the equivalent of arguing about what music the band should play as the Titantic went down. It makes no sense to me. Until we get the guys up front sorted out, It really doesn't matter who is one and two. If we are not able to run the ball, we can't win period, at least not in the SEC. Amari, Jaylen, Devonta, Jameson, Metchie, are not in that locker room. We cannot run by people. We have to have some way of establishing playaction. Right now, we don't. Roydell ran the ball extremely hard, but he was bringing his own block with him. This could be the worst o-line I have seen in Saban's tenure. Correction, it is the worst I have seen. They are big and soft, just like a pack of Angel Soft. They don't have to stay that way, but they are the only ones in control of that. I don't think they want to be that way, either. Whether it is coaching, attitude, schematics or S&C, something has to change. I don't care if they go back to a gap scheme or pin and pull. Do something to play to the strengths of 1700 lbs. of beef that you have up front. Just my honest opinion.
