Hang the playoffs. Class and dignity should be valued. I hope his mama sees it differently. It's a lot different now. It's playoffs or bust.
I know I would yank a knot in my son's rear for that kind of conduct!

I get what you are saying, but the consequences of that kind of conduct should be addressed regardless of how valuable his talent is to the team.Bryant would never have been allowed to coach today. Different man, different era.
He would have had tons of lawsuits against him wrt how he practiced. No way he would be allowed to coach in today's game. Saban was Bryant lite and the day finally came where the culture drove him and his style out of the game.Bryant would never have been allowed to coach today. Different man, different era.
No one knows or said there aren't any. The main theme is there has to be consequences. I'm sure a reporter will ask and we'll get some indication. But there has to be consequences, be it internal or bench time. How many of us know if there aren't any consequences being handed out? Many times it's not for you to know! We are making uninformed, blind assumptions.
You must not work with/spend much time with younger people. Consequences are a thing of the past for many many kids now.How many of us know if there aren't any consequences being handed out? Many times it's not for you to know! We are making uninformed, blind assumptions.
I've been teaching 6-12 for 25 years on the Navajo Reservation, Coach Basketball and field trips. I think you are wrong in your assumptions. You must not work with/spend much time with younger people. Consequences are a thing of the past for many many kids now.
Who'll replace him on the field is irrelevant. Behavior like that is cancerous, and must be excised before it spreads to the entire team.Who's going to fill his shoes on an already anemic defense? I think he should get some sort of practice in-house punishment, but we can't afford to have him miss a game. We can't afford another loss or there will be no playoffs and the fans will go crazy and the message boards will break the servers!
Saban benched Milroe an entire game for less....That's the first time I've seen him out of character and to that point of frustration. I don't think it warrants a game suspension. I'd give him a warning about his actions and maybe some in practice punishment. He didn't go out and get a ticket or anything. He just lost his cool.
I think Milroe was benched so he could show the fans what the other QBs looked like in a game.Saban benched Milroe an entire game for less....
If Saban did that then i seriously question how he ever won one national championship. If you listen to the fans then you will soon join them.I think Milroe was benched so he could show the fans what the other QBs looked like in a game.
Nope, his behavior after th e Texas loss got him benched. Apparently he acted a Donkey in a film room meeting after the Texas game and Saban benched him. It had nothing to do with "showing the fans" anything.I think Milroe was benched so he could show the fans what the other QBs looked like in a game.
Hmmm. Didn't know that but still. Saban said later it was to get him to change his style of play. So .... I think there were multiple reasons for that game and Saban knew we could win it without Milroe. CNS acted in mysterious ways.Nope, his behavior after th e Texas loss got him benched.
