I've thought about that comparison a lot. Frost does seem a lot like Shula. Former QB comes home with little experience as a HC (or none for Shula), the recruiting is pretty good but not great (top 20), the home team loses games it shouldn't and nearly wins in big games against superior opponents (anyone remember '03 Bama vs OU?).

Yeah, but we had a certain level of hope.
They've got a serious level of desperation.
