Need a little advice from the resident internet gurus...

Being a networking guy myself, I'm not as knowledgeable about the Internet as many of ya'll. I have a couple of people who want to put up web sites. They don't want to host them, just administer the sites. Do ya'll have any recommendations for quality (preferrably inexpensive) hosting and domain registration. I want to have the domains registered and owned by them, not the hosting company. Any suggestions... I tried google, but the mass confusion is, well, confusing.

We started out using Yahoo and it was OK but they had some recent problems. We moved to IX Webhosting. They have several pricing structures.

Our sites are Battlestandard and <a href="http://www.whistlingdogstudio.com" target=_blank">Whistling Dog Studio</a>.

I use [Globat.com]. They are cost effective and quite good for hosting and domain registration.
