Doubt it. UA needs parking something fierce. I could also see some additions in line for the Law School.Probably the same thing we did with Beard-Eaves, which still stands down in Auburn. We're only just now getting ready to tear it down.

I think that was the final eye opener. This will be realized this time. I LOVE the field house look!!!!The plans look great. To save $12M and have a better arena is a no-brainer, or should be.
Renovate it for gymnastics? Volleyball?A #1 team helps build atmosphere.
So what will they do with Coleman after this is built?
I'd keep it and make it basketball practice facilities. Get rid of the seats and make the whole place a world class basketball practice facility.A #1 team helps build atmosphere.

For who? I think you want your team practicing on its home court as much as possible. I know there's another practice gym in Coleman and I'm not sure how much it got used, but the more you shoot on your home rims the better!I'd keep it and make it basketball practice facilities. I think it would be better for them to practice on the new floor and shoot on those rims as much as possible. That's just me, but as a former player, I like the idea of being more comfortable with my home rims.Sounds like they are going to keep Coleman.

Agree on being too small. Should be 12,500 to 13,000 at least. It looks very nice but it's too small and will be obsolete the day it is finished. I know that is not a popular opinion because newer is always better right? If the goal is to elevate the program to compete with the Kentucky's of the world, this won't do it.
The thing is you need to be able to consistently fill it. I mean it definitely needs to be bigger than ours but 12,000 is probably pushing it for being able to consistently fill it.Agree on being too small. Should be 12,500 to 13,000 at least.
That's about right.Agree on being too small. Should be 12,500 to 13,000 at least.
As long as there is a good product, Bama fans can fill 12,000 seats for SEC games. The thing is you need to be able to consistently fill it. I mean it definitely needs to be bigger than ours but 12,000 is probably pushing it for being able to consistently fill it.
