LOL! I saw that, too. In fairness, it was written by the Dallas Morning News and a large portion of their readership is made up of UT fans. So, it probably helps to tell the reader in the title why it might be of interest to them. Still pretty darned funny, though.

I'm not either, but his head is pointed downward. That seems a pessimistic position for his head. But he could be texting the next person's agent or is he calling Shaka's A.D.?

If his head was up so you could see a smile on his face, I'd feel a lot better. Then, I would be optimistic.

As it is, I'm realistic.

Did he tell CGM that he'd have da plane here to pick him up with his family tomorrow? Did CGM say, "let me sleep on it tonight and I'll get back with you tomorrow"? Did CBB or ADBB say "that's not going to work, I need to know 10 minutes ago"? Then, did CGM say that "you can take that job and shove it"! Did CBB, I mean ADBB, then say "later dude"!

People are going to try to read something into whatever demeanor he was displaying. If I were CBB and Marshall had just told me no, I absolutely wouldn't be videoed looking mad. If he'd just told me yes, I wouldn't want to be videoed looking like the cat that ate the canary. That's just bad form. Regardless of what happened, the only half-decent was to handle it is with a stone face. JMO.

I was wondering this very same thing. I know marshall has been here in the past but not sure about his family. I guess i am assuming they trust him and take him at his word ? Its a great question though.

I also try to look at it like this. There is a lot of details to work out , maybe demands and counters by both sides to get to that final point. I am assuming Marshall and his family have been pretty happy in Wichita, and they really do need that perfect offer. I would fully expect Marshall to need to discuss things with his family after getting what maybe all the details worked out and presentable in writing. Its a big decision and I could not blame him a bit for discussing everything thoroughly with his family. I do hope his family says Roll Tide in the end if this is the case.

Could it be CGM agreed in principal but, asked for a new arena or massive renovation and CBB has to go back to the board and once agreed to, the plane will be back to pick up CGM? He could easily get an answer on the flight back and then the BOT meet ASAP to 'officially' approve.
