JMO, the Constitition isn't a death pact. Time to consider some common good.
You have probably never met anyone whose construction of Federal powers is stricter than mine, but I see no constitutional problem with this at all. The Constitution does not apply to foreigners and foreigners have absolutely no right to travel here (except maybe to Jon in Atlanta's house.)
Of course, if the Federal government tried to restrict foreigners travelling to the US, the Justice Department would deploy a platoon of lawyers to wherever such restrictions were imposed and threaten to crawl up their backsides with a microscope. Actions just this evil and stupid are what the Justice Department is all about these days.

I'm reading on an alt news site where the patient was living with family members. Also that the government is refusing to release the flight said patient was on. This will be fun.

Should we officially label him Patient 0?

I'm not an army general but wouldn't the flu pandemic of the early 1900's be bigger than Ebola. At least so far?
The flu spreads easier, but ebola has a higher mortality rate. Plus, the world is a LOT more mobile than it was back then. Consider: 250,000 people go through the Atlanta airport. EVERY DAY.

Dallas patient walked around for several days before being admitted.

This gives me zero confidence, btw.

This is the first case of Ebola diagnosed in the U.S. and the first strain of this Ebola diagnosed outside of Africa," Frieden said. "I have no doubt that we will control this case of Ebola so that it does not spread widely in this country. It is certainly possible that someone who has had contact with this patient could develop Ebola, but there is no doubt in my mind that we will stop it here."

First responders quarantined as well.

A whole lot of supposedly intelligent people are being made to look like fools during this ordeal.

I don't have a single ounce of confidence in our federal government in regards to this.

I can't believe that the first ER crew missed it. I mean, a patient comes in with a fever, nausea and diarrhea. He's from west Africa and is in the country to visit relatives, and you send him home?!?!?
