New healthcare thread...

In which case, I'd be able to eat no french fries at all...
No worries, my man. There is a zero-percent chance most restaurants will follow suit. They won't absorb the cost and frankly, can't afford to raise their prices any more than they already have.

I had forgotten about that. You can't have any sort of mammalian food products, right? I hate that for you.

There are about a half million of us now, diagnosed. The estimates are that there are five times that number, suffering, ending up in the ER, sometimes dying, who don't yet know why...

I'll just leave this here...

Unsurprisingly, Mississippi has had their first pediatric flu death of the season.

They did not provide an age, but the individual was not vaccinated for flu this year. Mississippi, incidentally, in 2023 decided that anyone who wanted to object to required vaccinations on religious exemption grounds would be allowed to do so. Not Covid - ALL of them!

This outcome was predictable and it sickens me that the individual with whom I attended the prom is one of the raging lunatics advocating this.

I did not want to start a new thread, although someone may, but this does not totally surprise some of us, although we didn’t have and still do not have conclusive evidence of it.

Basically just shifting political winds.

There is no evidence that COVID came from the Wuhan lab and you can be sure that if it did, everyone with that knowledge has long since been quieted in one fashion or another. I doubt we will ever know for sure. It certainly is quite a coincidence though.

My boss decided to save himself a few bucks and gave us worse insurance. We noe have a prescription deductible that we never had and it is a high deductible. This was just dirty. He had no plan on even telling us either. Our business manager made him tell us. I don't even care about calling him out on this forum either. This was a rotten thing to do. We have not even gotten raises in over 2 years. Not even a cost a living raise. But he is saving money so screw us huh?

Is the firm making money?

I miss the days when the obvious was considered obvious.james-bond-goldfinger-1964-6462.jpg

My only thought is that he may be doing this to keep from closing
the doors.

He is not that nice. He is actually pretty selfish. Always has been. He did this to save himself a buck.

We have some pretty big projects and he is now the only partner and we have had 2 people leave in the last year. Currently only 8 employees not counting him. Only 6 are under 65 and actually on the insurance. And again he had no intention of even telling us our insurance changed. He should have been straight with us.

Remember the surgeon who was PULLED OUT OF SURGERY to speak with UnitedHealthcare so they could try and cancel her cancer patients inpatient stay after surgery? UnitedHealthcare DID CANCEL THE HOSPITAL STAY and now they’re THREATENING HER, she’s showing the proof “Despite my efforts, they denied her stay. UnitedHealthcare didn’t stop at calling me during surgery. Now, they’ve sent me a legal threat—and even worse? They ended up denying my cancer patient’s hospital stay. Exactly what I was afraid would happen. Staying overnight after major surgery isn’t optional—it’s medically necessary” “UnitedHealthcare decided they know better than the doctors caring for the patient. When they called me while I was operating, I knew that if I didn’t step out and respond immediately, they might deny her stay—leaving her with a massive bill. — I scrubbed out and called them back. But after all of that? They denied her stay anyway.” Share this like wildfire (If you’re not familiar with the original video I have linked it below, it’s the reshared post)
