Re: Replacement Offensive Coordinator
Let's keep this thread about possible OC replacement. Keep talk about Lane for another thread.

He will. There'll be many agent inquiries and applications I'm sure. No worries.I don't think anyone on this board knows which way CNS will go next. I just hope he gets the right guy and fit.

I don't. He's implicated in a massive Title IX lawsuit. Until his name is cleared of any involvement in the Baylor sexual assault cases, I don't want him near Tuscaloosa. And lets be real, Baylor wouldn't have fired him unless it was really bad. He's the best chance at national contention they've ever had...he did something and it was terrible enough to get the whole chain of command from Briles to the top of the university fired or pushed out.I want Art Briles. Our offense would be unstoppable.
I'm pretty sure that Kiffin is going to hire some off-the-field analyst type people. That's a good thing, especially for the young guys like Weis, Jr...this is exactly how the process is suppose to go: coordinators get head jobs; they take GTAs, S&C assistants, and off-field staff with them to build part of their staff; maybe a position coach gets a coordinator opportunity with him; everyone gets more opportunity to advance their career in the process. Of course, Sark is an atypical example of that being a former P5 conference HC.I think Sark might be one of those CLK hinted at during his presser that will be joining him at FAU.
From what I've heard there's about a 99% chance Sark will not be with Bama in Feb.Well if Sark isn't picked to be the next OC, then how long does he stay an analyst under CNS???
Coach Sark is only making $25k or $30k a year as an analyst. I'm sure he banked some good money at Washington and at USC (plus I think his contract termination terms are in court), but at some point I'm sure he'll want to make more money and coach on the field. If that promotion doesn't come here (to a position coach if not coordinator), I could see him moving on to FAU or elsewhere. There is no reason to remain as an analyst.Well if Sark isn't picked to be the next OC, then how long does he stay an analyst under CNS???
Well that's news to me.From what I've heard there's about a 99% chance Sark will not be with Bama in Feb.
If you intend the emphasis to be on the second syllable in "offense" rather than the first, you might be right...I want Art Briles. Our offense would be unstoppable.
We could always get Cam Cameron. Then our offense would be stoppable. :wink:I want Art Briles. Our offense would be unstoppable.
Not me. Not ever !I want Art Briles. Our offense would be unstoppable.
Well you're not Cecil so don't believe itFrom what I've heard there's about a 99% chance Sark will not be with Bama in Feb.
Did you hear that from a reputable source? I heard it earlier and cannot follow up on it.From what I've heard, Sark had relapsed prior to the SEC championship game.
