Nick Saban recognized as national Coach of the Week

After Alabama’s 31-29, heart-stopping victory Saturday over Florida, The Dodd Trophy, named after former Georgia Tech head coach Bobby Dodd, named Nick Saban its coach of the week.

Jim Terry, the chairman of the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation, released this statement on the selection of Saban.

“This was another significant victory for Alabama that now puts the Crimson Tide in the driver’s seat for the SEC West and another College Football Playoff bid,” said Terry, chairman. “Coach Dodd would have appreciated Coach Saban’s ability to keep his team poised in a hostile road environment and a highly competitive game against a solid Florida team.”
