Nick Saban Retiring? It's Official .. the Goat is gone

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I wouldn't expect anything less from those goobs?
They always bristle at the “little brother” moniker. Yet…..

As I tell my kids (Auburn grads along with their spouses) “If you don’t want to be called “little brother” don’t act like one”.

I hope the University does something in terms of a retirement ceremony where fans get a chance to come out and show their appreciation for all he has done. I know it goes the nature of CNS but to hell with that…give it to him whether he wants it or not. 😁😁😁

I was a junior in HS when we fired Mike Shula and hired Saban. I didn’t know much about the guy except he had coached at LSU and done well and was coaching in the NFL. I had just gotten a Nokia box phone that I had to share with my sister for emergencies, and had to drive her around to school and afterschool practice. That’s when I joined this board, because I was super curious who this Nick Saban guy was.

This doesn’t feel real, and suddenly I feel mortal and old. I need to go look at old pictures and have a drink.

I am usually the optimistic one around here but I just don't see it keeter. We done for a while so go ahead and adjust to the cirmcumstance.
I'm taking a wait and see approach,..............to paraphrase a line from The Hunt for Red October, "Saban doesn't take a dump without a plan"...............and I bet part of that was talking to the recruits
