Depends on who you are… Are you a Top 10 program where there are realistic and reasonable expectations of winning the whole thing or are you a program that has either never been there or is on a prolonged hiatus?
Softball Alabama has one of the biggest support base in terms of facilities, fan support, and funding. Alabama Baseball is way closer to the bottom 5 in the SEC in all of those things. Murph doesn’t have to worry about the same limitations and issues that Vaughn has to. Alabama and Mississippi St are flipped in terms of baseball and softball but their lesser sport are growing so we could probably expect to see some elevated expectations in the next 3-4 years.
Alabama baseball expectations are just to reach a regional in most years. Alabama softball expectations are to at the bare minimum on down years to reach a Super regional and make some noise in OKC in up years.
