Okay I don't know if this no call would have effected the outcome. But it was so visible and in front of 2 officials. That is what ticks me off so bad. I took these screen shots from the TV. Sorry the quality isnt the greatest but you get the point. I also loaded the video to my PC. if anyone has any webspace for me to store it I would email it. Its a 9MB and a 3 MB file (3 MB is slo-mo).

Can you spot the two SEC Officials in this picture? Makes you say Hmmm! I circled them. At this point the ball is in the air and Keith is on his way backwards!

My question

is who are the two officials....b/c it is time that names are known and they are held accountable. They should not be allowed to call UA games b/c this was not just a blown call!

great post!!! why are we cursed with such bad luck. that play took 7 away from us and totally changed field position. that play cost us the game. i dont care which way you slice it. if we score a td there, the game is over.

Yeah it did swing the momentum and field position for sure. And it was an old fashioned SEC game, running and defense. If Bama scores there (A td) and is able to maintian possesion (no fumble inside 10) then Bama could have had an old fashioned 17-6 or 17-13 win. Sure alot of ifs and buts. Same with the South Carolina game. The offense turned it over twice inside the 20 giving SC points. And in the Tennessee game the fumble TD was the difference.

Bama's defense is good. But they cant stay on the field the entire game. Especially with the lack of depth.

Your right about the SC and ut games except in those games we lost due to our won mistakes. But with the lsu game we lost due to a mistake by the refs. Something pretty serious has to be done to these guys because they blew a call very badly, and that call cost Bama a very important game.

Just had an LSU fan at work tell me this was not pass interference. He said they could have called the DB for holding, but not PI. I almost got in a shouting match, I had to walk away disgusted. Now I cant concentrate.

Either way he admits a penalty should have been called, which would have negated the interception since the penalty occured prior to it.

I disagree with him though. Holding implies the DB was grabbing his jersey, or arm. This DB put his hands in his chest and pushed.

Either way, it's first and goal for Bama at the one. His argument was a moot point.

I dare any LSU fan to come on here today and argue it.

I want to know something...

HOW IN CRIMSON BLAZES DOES BOBBY GASTON KEEP HIS JOB?!?

Look at it this way--if the job performance of your 'division' was lousy, year after year, for at least the last four years, you'd have had your butt fired. I would, too.

But year in, year out, Bobby Gaston puts the country's WORST officials on the field, and year after year, at least two or three games' outcome are affected by it.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for Gaston to GO!

Forgive me for getting all emotional, but it almost makes me want to cry to see this. Our players give their hurt and soul and then some for CMS and staff the past two years. These players have been most turmoilous three years in college football in recent or not so recent memory. They have a chance to upset a ranked team. They had the team on the ropes, using field position and defense to win the game. They should have been up 17-6 which does not put us in a position to fumble the ball inside the 10 (that my friends is a 14 point turn around!!!) This just makes me sick. With us being fans, imagine what the players and coaches are going through. This has got to be eating them up. I sure hope this lights an inferno inside their soul and they come out a surprise the nation this Saturday.

Man, I'm bummed.

GCT,

You've hit the nail right on the head. There's too much incompetence in officiating league-wide to consider this some kind of conspiracy. It's just down-right, plain-old incompetence. And GASTON HAS GOT TO GO.

He's the head of the officials for this conference and they have been subpar for far too long now.

Where's the accountability??????

I was told this morning by one of the coaches that there was an even worse call by the same official later in the game. When Spencer was hit and fumbled for their td, Caddell was held twice. Caddell was the sole receiver on the play. I admit I didn't see the play but the coaches considered this non call even worse than the interception. No excuses were being made but simply a statement of fact.

No call...

After the no-call interception in the end zone by LSU, I saw the cameras go the the guy who made the int.

Just after the int. it shows him on the bench and nothing really to say, but when they went back to him a minute or two later, I could swear that he was saying "I had too" or "I had to do it" and laughing.

My take is, if I can read lips, he knew he got away with it.

*^%%$# me off!
