Does someone have inside information on Nolan Wilson Visiting Auburn this weekend and why? Is he considered on flip watch. Hate to lose him we need all of the DL we can get

Not sure why anyone would commit to that circus. Yes, I understand money is a big lure. However I don’t think they will offer much more than we would. Plus you would be shooting yourself in the foot when it comes to visibility, coaching, and national exposure

I agree but another site says he is visiting and he maybe hard to keep

Given:

— How the game turned out,
— How Freeze yet again threw his QB under the bus for poor decisions, and
— The fans split between the ones sending Freeze off the field with boos and the ones chanting, “Fire Hugh,”

I’m guessing the visit didn’t go so well.

If he ends up at the barn after all that, he wants to be there for reasons that have nothing to do with the football program.

I wonder how his visit went. Auburn lost to the worst team in the SEC at home. The fans started chanting “fire Hugh,” during the 4th quarter. And just in case the AD and the powers that be didn’t get it, the fans also stayed after the game to chant the same thing. To top it all off, Freeze got fired today. I would have thoroughly enjoyed that visit!

I don't know what AU's recruiting class looks like, but it will probably take some hits unless they score a homerun hire, which I doubt is realistic.

Hard to imagine them flipping a Bama recruit right now.
Hugh Freeze if anything was a good recruiter and relinquished most of the coaching and offensive schemes to his assistants in order to solely concentrate on recruiting. He did that well for the first 2 years at the barn. The 2026 class is currently sitting at #39 and may move up depending on who they add. Golesh is not known to be a great recruiter and USF is ranked #59 at the moment with most of their players from Florida. The highest recruit is a 4 star Edge. We know auburn has more more resources and funds than USF, but it doesn't seemed to be the difference in this cycle so far. And with another losing season, auburn may find it difficult to attract top talent unless Golesh hiring springs eternal hope like most new hires to any football program.

Golesh style has been to make the most from goegrophy and development. Even unranked recruits in south Florida and Tampa are ridiculous athletes and usf is as good a place as any of they dont get discovered.

It'll be a mystery to see whay he does with auburns NIL budget, and the best thing for them right now may actually be for some guys to hit the portal and clear up big time rev share funds. Thats whats kept the 26 class back compared to freeze's others. Didn't plan for the salary cap and gave it all to unproven freshmen and redshirt freshmen warming their bench.

I would expect his recruiting to be similar to gus's but this time with a bigger NIL check book, better facilities, and exposure of the sec. Also to see if getting higher end recruits effects his underdog pregame messaging.
