Maybe, but still don't don't win the championship because defense wins championships.

I haven't watched him enough to know if he is really making throws like Mac made against Auburn. Mac hit some really good passes, down field, with heavy pressure in his face. He was absolutely destroyed on several throws he completed.

Now Mac doesn't have the running ability Jalen has. And maybe Jalen's experience and risk averse nature keeps the pick 6s from happening (although neither one was a particularly risky throw). So maybe he connects with Najee for a TD on that 1st and goal play, instead of the fluke 100 yard INT return.

It's an interesting question. But the answer isn't so clear cut as it would seem. Other than the pick 6s, Mac had a really great game. The kind of 4 quarter game as a throwing QB that, I'm not sure we ever saw from Jalen.

No. Same result because Mac makes a few throws that Jalen can't.
Agree with this. Also, Jalen has been a turnover machine this year, so no guarantee that he does any better there. Call it a wash.

Agree it's hard to know. Jalen has regressed as a passer as the season has worn on at OU. He's thrown INTs, pick 6s, and has missed alot of open receivers.

The question is, if he would have stayed and played like he did in relief against Georgia last year in the SECCG, then yes, possibly, maybe.

Let's not do this guys. We make fun of Texas fans using the "If Colt had not gotten hurt" (no pun intended given the thread) so what makes this different?

Maybe Bama wins with Jalen or Tua under center instead of Mac, maybe Bama don't. Fact is, Bama lost.

No. We lost in 2017 at Auburn with Jalen under center with the same poor coaching and undisciplined players.
The same group of poor coaches and undisciplined players who were undefeated at the time and won it all a month later?
New league record on self-flagellation, don’t you think?

Last week we lost a 2nd regular-season game for the first time in a decade. We are still in the middle of the most extraordinary run of excellence in the history of college football. Disappointing loss, true, even a devastating one. But context is a beautiful thing.

Our coach isn't out there promoting a narrative like Mack Brown did and probably still would if asked. Have to have a little speculation and fun here. I realize lots of people in the media probably read these threads, but it's not the same as the coach talking it up.
