Just asking…..if you Trust The Process, and believe that CNS is the GOAT, how can you say that anyone he hires is a foul ball…..until that ball lands out of bounds.
If he chooses Little Dooley, he’d have his reasons.
Grantham might test my faith……
If Dooley and Grantham are hired, the entire college football world will know that it's because plans A through Y fell through.

That's how.

I think the only two things that seem clear right now are 1) Saban is trying to knock the ball out of the park with the offensive coordinator hire and 2) Jeremy Pruitt as a DC is looking more and more like a long shot at best.

I honestly think Saban has circled just a few names for DC and if they say no then he might go with Armstrong or someone that he trusts on staff. I honestly get the feeling that the defense was not his primary concern going into the offseason from what the few people that are credible that I follow are saying.

I also think Jeremy was seen as an easy fix at first and then they got news that was murky at best from the NCAA about his fate. I think it’s a given that he will be on staff but not an on field guy. The only reasons that this story of him won’t die are 1) the dumb Bama twitter guys that are stalking him 2) the media finally figuring out that he is instate and 3) Nick Saban hasn’t hired anyone yet. But I think it’s not looking like he is our DC.

However I do think Saban is trying to take his time with an OC that can be in between Sark and Mac in terms of effectiveness. I think the guy must be able to develop quarterbacks quick and assess them quicker.

I don’t think either Grantham or Dooley will be coordinating next year. But I do see the potential of Dooley getting a promotion. That promotion could be something like what Butch Jones did as an analyst or a position coach.

But anyways I think the situation is less dire and more complicated than people originally thought it was going to be. People just need to be patient.

It’s hard to buy an existing house - I don’t know that investors are too concerned with new developments (mostly junk that will be falling apart in 10 years without the help of storms), but some of these firms are foreign money.
It took me years to accept how foreigners can buy land and passports here but in many of those same countries we can’t reciprocate; I finally gave in to the knowledge it’s just good ol’ American greed
I have people call me all the time asking if I want to sell. I tell them I will never sell to someone that's going to rent it and when I do sell I'm going to sell it to the biggest redneck I can find.

Maybe?

Yeah and that’s Dennis Dodd picking up 2 week old news. Pruitt’s been on campus for nearly 3 weeks now, and we just hit NSD with no one hired.

There is still a chance that Pruitt is the guy but from what’s been coming out from sources that are more accurate is that Pruitt has more obstacles than what Saban and Alabama originally thought when they started considering him.

Prediction wise I wouldnt be shocked by anything from the DC with the exception of Grantham getting the job. But I think it’s looking more and more unlikely Pruitt is the clear candidate that guys on Twitter are making it out to be.

I get text messages and calls - “fair cash offers” my smelly rear end. They never call back when I tell them how much I want. And they call from all over the country - Dallas, Miami and Chicago so far.

I didn't say anything about the process did I? I just said if it's Grantham it's a foul ball not the home run hire we are looking for

I'm still hoping it is Pruitt and Nick is clearing the path behind the scenes which is the hold up in the announcement. At least, that is my wishful thinking. Jeremy is a Bama guy and exactly what the doctor ordered.

Great point. Georgia isn't going away anytime soon. Just like Bama hasn't. People might as well get to used them being around.
Being around is different than being the program of standard. Clemson is around. Ohio State is around. Georgia has a great program right now and will continue to contend. But people acting like they have completely replaced Alabama and we need to hire all their coordinators and copy everything they do are getting a little bit hysterical, imo.

There are no telling what kinds of hoops that the NCAA is putting in front of Saban hiring Pruitt...........
Honestly, after the NCAA did nothing to Sean Miller and Arizona in the most obvious and blatant violation of the NCAA I’m honestly shocked CJP is having even a blip of trouble. There most be pictures of goats or small kids for them to dig in their heels like this. Did they order a freaking backbone from Amazon or something?

Let's see how good Georgia is without Monken and Stetson Bennett next year. If their schedule wasn't so easy, they would easily lose a couple of games.
I would have liked to have seen how good Monken and Bennett are without the rest of the team.
