Could the problem on offense be that we have a OC that's trying to make QB's fit to his offensive scheme and not making the offense work with the strengths of the current QBs? Remember he came in where the QB's were already in place and then Buchner was signed on.

This is Alabama’s offense, remember? The most Rees was supposed to do is tweak some formations and bring in more two tight end power running plays.

This reminds me of the movie “Necessary Roughness” during their first game when it’s third down and Bakula calls the same play that the defense blew up on first and second down.

Everyone in the huddle says, “This play again?”

Bakula replied, “They haven’t seen it yet.”

Have we really seen Rees yet? The only thing this offense has done is hit a few deep balls. That’s it. This unit hasn’t produced three consecutive plays of execution ALL YEAR LONG. Do we really know what Rees is capable of?

Its not like guys weren't wide open against USF. Buchner just couldn't hit the wide side of barn. Simpson read the defenses well and through to the open guys, but the offensive line didn't give him much time.. I think the issue is with the OL and Saban said that during his press conference (OL, backs picking up blitz and some lazy effort)

I love that movie and you make an interesting point. If we can start getting some competent OL play, we might be pleasantly surprised by what unfolds. Right now, it doesn't seem to matter what plays get called because they are likely to get blown up anyway.
