I think he meant Coker's instead of cover's. Man what a great job by Saban with the coaching he did this season. Made the adjustments at the beginning of the season and he and his team made a lot of successful calls and put these young men in positions to win. I hope this desire remains the theme of this program that players work hard as a team to accomplish the goal of competing for championships. By far one of my favorite championships ... just a great game.

No Clemson players were near the edge of the field during the onside kick. Unless I'm mistaken, it was a lob kick and the ball never hit the ground. If a Clemson player had been over there he could have called a fair catch but Bama coaches had seen this alignment already.

Well, those suckers left it on the field. Their effort throughout but especially at the end was of championship quality. I don't say it lightly. They never quit, never played timidly;played to win it. Hats off to them, but ROll Tide
we won in a shootout. twice, they grabbed the momentum back when we were on our heels. clemson played really good, but they got a first hand look at what it takes to be a champion

Internet has been down so haven't been able to post, but what a game. That onside kick was a thing of beauty. I wished for a fake punt or flea flicker. We got an onside kick. I'll take it. :)

Great team win. RTR. #16

So, I finally got to take a breath!! What a great game. Clemson were phenomenal and thank goodness their best CB went out of the game so OJ Howard could be wide open for his TD's. Hopefully, Dabo will not say years later than if his CB was not hurt, Clemson would have won, ad nausem like that former Texas coach.

Normally we win by playing sound fundamental football, not by making spectacular, heroic plays. Tonight Clemson was better fundamentally than we were. We won by spectacular individual efforts. Drake's TD return was pure will. I didn't think he had a good "look." He willed himself into the endzone. Griffith executed the onside kick flawlessly. OJ Howard and Jake Coker turned it on together. Coker willed us to victory in the fourth. We took on a tsunami made of want-to and we held on and survived it.

And hats off to CNS. He's thought of as a conservative coach, but he will open up and take some risks when he doesn't trust his defense. He knows when to be aggressive and go against his tendencies. If he didn't, he wouldn't have won four national championships here.
