i know the running game is doing just fine, but Guillon is not Avalos.
Let's put some air under the ball
that would help the running game as well
the d on the other hand looked like they were playing prevent in the last drive
imo prevent never seems to do anything but give up yardage in chunks
:conf3: dont know if the d was in prevent or not, but
they seemed to have control of arks offense , and then they gave up
that td scoring drive like it was nothing
keep in mind the next game that i coach will be my first
so with all of that said.........ROLL TIDE
we have seemed to come out better in the 3rd and 4th quarters this year
so hopefully that trend continues today :biggrin: :biggrin2:

Technically we were about even in the second half last year against the piggies heh..


I didnt get to watch that game, but it seems that we scored like 3 touchdowns right out of the gate to start the second half. Then we gave em back later on in the second half... so it adds up to a tie

Don't get me wrong, I think we have the tools, players, and coaching to win this thing. I was hoping that it would be a cakewalk, but I knew it would not be. Time for the Tide to crank it up and cook some bacon!!!

they were real lucky, a fumble set up their first touchdown, and a lack of prevent defense cost us the second. how can full back get to the end zone without safety help. especially with jones scrambling, out of control and throwing the ball up for grabs again. my biggest disappointment was when we had 3d and 4 on their 22 yard line, we did not try an pass to a tight end or back out of the backfield. what are we waiting for. we would have scored a touchdown on that drive, if we got a first down.

bamar, their first TD came on the opening possession of the game. They took the kick off and marched right down the field. Same with the second TD now that I think of it.

Well, well, well. I guess to sum up my feelings on the first half....I didn't think you'd be able to jam the ball down our throats like you've done the first half. Your defensive line is as tough as I thought it would be and I can't help but think that Shula is not calling the same game he would have called had Croyle been in the game, which is to our advantage.

Be interesting to see what adjustments are made at half. Probably get my butt burned but if I were Nutt, I'd sell out to stuff the run and make your qb beat us.

On a side note, gotta give Matt his props. Got to be the most elusive, fastest white boy you ever seen.
