**official Bama Gameday Thread Part II**

Re: Give OKST's defense credit for holding Alabama to just over 200 yards!

I give our line's ineffectiveness and overall weakness credit as well. OSU does NOT have a great D, but they showed up tonight big time.

Re: We played with a lot of heart

I really don't think this team played with heart today. Whenever Ok St had to move the ball they did. Whenever we had to move the ball we didn't.

Re: We played with a lot of heart

In the first half we looked pretty sluggish and never fully adjusted to the draw up the middle, so it might be of a stretch to say that we played with heart, at least up until the end.

Re: Give OKST's defense credit for holding Alabama to just over 200 yards!

LOL, yes the score was very deceptive. We were really dominated for the most part. Plus their D was supposedly pathetic. Did they look pathetic to you?

We have alot of major holes to fill going forward.

Re: We played with a lot of heart

But the bottom line is that our lack of S&C prevented us from being able to control the clock with our running game.

One final testament to the brilliance of Mike Shula and Bob Connelly.

Lack of overall talent and depth on both lines is what doomed us tonight. Probation is a word we are tired of using but you saw its crushing effect again tonight.

Well....no tears this time. Well maybe, because I have to go back to the speculation threads now. Oh what fun. Maybe this time next week we can all be on here blasting the administration for such a terrible hire. Happy New Year and go Bears and Huskers!

They played their hearts out and left it all on the field - they just didn't have the time or the leadership to pull it out.

Roll Tide!

2007 will be awesome!

Re: We played with a lot of heart

It was a noble effort (at least after Arenas had the punt return for a TD.) I will say this: any coach who watched this game knows we've got skill position players. We just need to toughen up and get better play on the line. (Our run defense was abysmal today, though. Hopefully, our next coach will concentrate on rebuilding this defense.)

I got home from work in time to see Arenas blow it up. Then AS with the TD... I went NUTS!

Then we blew 3 TO's to try to ice a 27 yard FG attempt and I'm still crying.

I just don't understand why we'd concede the FG and use the 3 TO's and the 9 secs to get in FG range ourselves. :conf2:

Regardless... I plan to stick around more during this offseason. I've just taken a break lately b/c I couldn't take all of the speculation threads. :D

My .02

1. The O-line play was as bad as it was all season. BC better not have a job any longer.
2. The focus and discipline was still not there.
3. While the offense scored in the redzone it still stunk. Rader's play calling was no better than Shula's.
4. Kines is not a HC. The team was not ready to play. They did not look anymore fired up than any other game. (Maybe asking him to be HC and DC was too much...)
5. Special teams other than the punt return for a TD was inept as usual. Coach U had best be fired before they get back to Tuscaloosa.

The only coaches I would consider keeping are Coach Ball and Coach Kines the rest are not suitable for pee-wee ball.

With that said, I still support the team and know brighter days are ahead!!!!
