**official Bama Gameday Thread Part II**

Thank God this miserable season is over!

Let's get a real coach and start winning again!

Roll Tide!

My .02

The only coaches I would consider keeping are Coach Ball and Coach Kines the rest are not suitable for pee-wee ball.

With that said, I still support the team and know brighter days are ahead!!!!

so, playing 5-7 yards off the WRs all game, especially on 3rd and 2, is worthy of being kept?

There are situations that warrant at least some press coverage and contact by the DBs at the line. We don't see it at all.

That was funny. On replay, you could see their "D" saying "Nah, not him." Even with the LJ and his "that can't be legal" flag. Thank goodness someone had a better knowledge of the rule book...

Re: Thank God this miserable season is over!

I was just thinking the same thing. I haven't been this disappointed with a season since Mike Dubose's last year. I am ready for something different. I want to expect our guys to win every game again.

Now...Will somebody tell me how to change my User Name!

Re: We played with a lot of heart

But the bottom line is that our lack of S&C prevented us from being able to control the clock with our running game.

Good point. The team did not give up, they were simply dominated at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, a recurring theme this season.

Let's hope the new coach, whoever he turns out to be, is a disciplinarian who stresses S&C. I also hope the residue of this tough loss and this disappointing season is bitter enough to motivate the team to make the kind of commitment it takes in the off-season to be physically and mentally prepared to win during the season.

Well...a difficult end to a very difficult era in Bama football. There are brighter days ahead mates.

I have a couple of requests:

  1. put Arenas on offense...he is a natural playmaker.
  2. GO GET SABAN!!!

Javon Simpson and Keith Darby? lol

Javon Simpson and Keith Darby? lol I have a feeling the commentators didn't even look at the Bama roster before the game. They also kept referring to someone (cant remember who) as a walk-on that was eventually given a scholarship...when in fact that person was highly recruited and was always on scholorship. Some idiot earlier this morning on espn also said Shula would be coaching his final Bama game today. Bang up job espn! Bang up job!

Yep, it was Marcus Carter that they kept referring to as a walk-on. I couldn't believe it until they said it a couple more times. Carter was highly recruited by Alabama and AU. He verballed to AU and then switched to us.

I asked that about Carter during the game, and one of our members said he was a walkon. I don't know where they got that info. Good riddance to Ball and his "turn and run with the receiver" philosophy. Finally, last year Kines was able to lobby Shula enough to allow them to bump downfield. Just one more clueless coach. "Dy-nasty," PM me with the username you want and I'll change it...

Really this is just the way I expected the Shula era to end, not with a bang but a wimper. Just glad it is all over and we get a chance to start over with a REAL coach (Not a shot at Kines by the way).

I totally agree. I was getting CCB confused with Coach Harbison and said in another thread CCB had a good chance to get on with Saban's staff should Saban choose to take the job. I would like to apologize and retract that statement...lol.

just wanted to make sure people saw that, too ;)

Someone should change the locks at the athletic facilities before the staff gets back.

Nah, for the most part they are all good guys just WAY over their heads. I think it will be telling in the next few weeks to see where our offensive guys end up and where our defensive guys end up. Heck, we already lost one defensive coach.

They reflect, mostly, desperation hires by Price, and they were guys who reflected his thinking on offense, and also on defense. Then, a young pro-set coach takes over and doesn't let them go, but rides with them? I don't have enough years left to live to figure it out...
