****Official Game Thread - Bama vs. Ole Miss - Postgame Thread****

Two of those FGs are TDs, it's 41-14....

I am not worried

True, but both offensive TDs were fortunate as well. We only got the first one after review (and it was close) and Cooper had to make a highlight reel catch for the second one.

I agree with some of the other posters on the play calling. This is the first time this year that I was disappointed in it. I didn't think we did near enough to stretch the field vertically, but then again that's hard to evaluate on TV since you can't see the whole field and what the defense is doing on every play.

I agree. I think I'm going to stop reading about the opposition ahead of time. Just seems whenever said team is supposed to have horrific secondary (i.e. Ole Miss) we can't do one thing to exploit it. And don't even get me started on the D line that was supposed to be just pathetic for Ole Miss.

More than any one thing besides injuries, I have concerns with Ole Miss getting outside on us tonight. If we don't cure that, there is at least one spread team (#2) that will be licking their chops come January. I feel confident I wasn't the first to notice however. :cool2:

The up-tempo bothered us tonight too. We looked confused on D half the time.

Coach Saban on Belue's (shoulder) injury: "I don't think it's serious. A week or two type deal."

DeAndrew White and Dee Hart will be evaluated tomorrow for knee injuries

Stinson not even mentioned. So we can assume that he's OK until otherwise stated.

I'm listening and still haven't heard Saban. Where did you get this info?

We didn't run as well as we'd have liked to, but I was impressed in the way Lacy was pressing holes during his run. Reminded me a lot of Mark Ingram. and always impressed with how Lacy finishes his runs.

He's a bull. Looking for him to have a strong second half of the year

One other thing I got out of this game is...Freeze is the real deal as a coach. He's taken a hapless bunch of Nutts and turned them into a real football team that believes they can compete with anyone. Hopefully, he won't make any "pine box" promises and will move on to greener pastures. Besides, I really HATE that fast break offense. Gives me flash backs to the Sugar Bowl against Utah.

Let me repost this yet once more before I retire for the the night - I have an ACL graft. It has no nerves. None do. Therefore, they don't hurt when you tear them. Hart was in obvious pain. Therefore, my conclusion is that it's remote that he re-tore the ACL graft, although it's possible he tore it at the same time he injured another knee component, like MCL, meniscus, etc., none of which is as serious as a re-rupture of the ACL graft. I'd appreciate those of you staying up re-posting or replying to this post, so that there is some answer to all of the repetitive posts about Hart's knee from folks who haven't read the thread...

i thought Ole Miss did some things tonight that may cause problems for other teams. AU, Arky, Miss St. and aTm may have their hands full with Ole Miss. Give them credit for being physical and scrappy, but everybody gets up for Bama.
