Alabama just gave up over 250 rushing yards to a team that's 105th in rushing, allowing them to more than double their average. Alabama didn't just play poorly, they were manhandled.
I'm curious how much money was bet on this game. I understand that's just my brain trying to make sense of this though. Early on I started wondering how everything was going wrong all at once, why this almost self-sabotage was occurring. Bad punts, dropped passes, running backwards when you have a first down, missed blocks, not setting the edge on defense, etc...
Then, it got worse! Cherry on top was the ref joining the effort by calling back a legit touchdown. I know a lot of people will want to blame one player, and he certainly joined the effort but it was collective.
I was worried this game could be competitive, but I never imagined this. I'd forgotten what this caliber of Alabama football was like. My brain wants there to be some missing piece of the puzzle, something other than what might have been the worst an Alabama team has looked this century.
