Milroe showcasing his running prowess against Wisconsin has me laughing. The timing is hilarious.

Since we last beat Georgia, all I've heard is, "yeah, but Kirby wasted spies on Milroe all night, so Bama got lucky." I have to imagine Kirby has heard Georgia (and some Bama) fans say this for 9 months and was planning on trying something different when we next meet them in T-Town.

Now, with game film from last Saturday to chew on, he's got to feel danged if he do and danged if he don't. Commit the spies and fans will revolt. Milroe will beat them through the air. Hang back with no spies and all our backs have considerably more space to operate. You don't want Milroe or our RB's in space, 3 yards past the line of scrimmage with a head of steam.

Old bowl cut is in a real quandary, I think.
Well I think the one thing Kirby will probably try is to take away is #2. If Hollywood gets rolling then it becomes a track meet that Georgia can’t keep up with. Last year Alabama didn’t have anyone that could change the game on a dime like Hollywood… not even Isiah Bond.

No all Kirby has to do is fill every gap with a rusher and dont over pursue JM. This will keep JM in the pocket and make him beat them with intermediate throws. Bracket cover the 2 vertical WRs with a DB and a Safety. Make JM throw to the TEs and RBs. JM will get impatient. Middle of the field will be wide open but JM wont see it because too looking at the rush.

We will need to roll JM on some throws out of the pocket.

Maybe that’s why Law hasn’t gotten the touches yet. CKD is waiting or should I say presenting them something to pounce on so he can unleash… I can’t wait till the Dawgs come to town!

Kirby's mistake was not the spies - it was the mush rush. He was so afraid of Milroe's legs that he gave him time to pass.

I would be very interested I could find a breakdown if there is any major difference between what Steele did vs what Womack is doing scheme wise. I say that because I am not a huge x’s and o’s guy.
I haven't done an alignment by alignment breakdown yet, but qualitatively, it's very different. Even when Womack goes to an odd front, it's a very different way of playing the odd front. Unfortunately, it's about the same result with the odd front seeming to be a weak point in the scheme versus when we stay in an even front.

That ship has sailed.

We're going to Athlete our way all the way to NYC.

As long as after NYC we get a NC I will be overly thrilled. The competition is really heavy this year. This is one of the few years where I don't think we have the most talented team. Talent wise I think we are probably 4th? I think Ohio State, Texas and Georgia probably have better players across the board than us. I think in a year or 2 we will have the best wide receiver in college although Jeremiah Smith may have something to say about that.

Not that this means anything, but I would expect that line to be closer to a pick 'em by the time of the game.

This also means nothing, but the teams we have played this year have only lost to us. Again, that may be more of an interesting anecdote than anything at this point in the season. However, USF plays Miami next weekend, and that could be interesting.
Going to be pulling like crazy for USF.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
Did anyone hear during the broadcast when Gus Johnson said "Partner (speaking of Joel Klatt), you know I love me some Big 10, but there's nothing like going to some of the famous venues in the SEC for a game", then he started naming several. You could tell it didn't sit well with Klatt as he said, "Well, I'm still partial to dotting the "I" in Columbus." LOL! Gus loves him some SEC football, LOL!

Yeah, he stepped out of what he would have been expected to say...I suspect he's just being honest...and of course, he's right!

I actually liked their pre-game show quite well. Of course I'm partial to Ingram.
