Game Thread: Official Post-Game Thread - Bama vs. Aggies...

I usually don't criticize officiating but that was some of the most atrocious I've seen in over 40 yrs of watching college football. I seriously--seriously--wonder if some of those refs have been compromised--and I mean it. I lost count of all the 'no calls.'

Yeah it was pretty bad, I really think they have it in for us.

Or how good Kelly really is.

Kelly is one of the highest rated centers in college football. He came in and helped out when Jones was injured on that great 2012 O-line. You never missed a beat. I expected a team like Alabama to have a capable replacement.

I'm with you - I generally look for reasons to support officials because their jobs are so tough, but this game was unforgivably bad. This entire crew needs to be investigated and/or suspended.

The picking up the flag on the punt return block in the back just blows my mind. I mean it doesn't get any more clear than two hands on the back. How do you pick that up? Flag accidentally slipped out of your pocket?

If I understand correctly, each crew is graded on each performance by the sec head of officials. I simply cannot imagine this one not getting a lot of scrutiny. It was beyond the pale.

I'd imagine the backup will perform better with a week of preparation to be the starter. Kelly would still be a tough loss though.

Hopefully it was precautionary or not a really serious concussion (all of them are, but you know...something where he really, REALLY got shook up in the cranium).

Great win. Need focus and toughness on the offensive line to emerge again.

**..we also need to develop some depth there as well. Hopefully we can get some of those guys some reps next week against the Viles and some reps during the off week prior to LSU.

Another thing. I love Drake, but I don't know if it's because he's pressing or the play calls when he gets the ball, but he just really seems to be struggling. We really need to find a way to get Bo or Damien a few meaningful snaps down the stretch. Henry carried it 31 times today, which I loved. I just want him to have something in the tank as we push towards Atlanta.

Even Aunt Gary and Uncle Verne could understand that one.

This game seemed to have a lot going on. Bad officiating, raucous crowd, big plays and momentum swings. We had some fantastic play and some less than desirable play. But most of all, our guys stayed the course and won the game. These are the kind of games that champions win.

I don't understand why we didn't see Cooper Bateman after Coker threw an incomplete pass. I just don't trust him with the football. Plus, Bateman is a better runner.

I think if we win out and Ole Miss wins out and goes to the SEC Championship there could be a chance that we can get in and not play in the SEC Championship game. Especially if we are ranked ahead of a 2 loss champion.

I agree, but would bet a small fortune that Ole Miss loses a couple more before this season is over.
