I would have thought so before this game but now? No way... Bama gets beat by Oklahoma, Clemson, and maybe Wisconsin.

Not so fast. If Iowa State and Syracuse can beat them then do can Alabama, especially since this Auburn game was influenced as much by mistakes and the environment as the play of our opponent. Alabama is a top four team. Unfortunately, this loss makes it very hard to make the playoff. Double bad snaps, false starts, fumbles and offsides penalties add up. Every time you’d normall see resiliency out of a Saban team, there was a killer mistake. It’s hard to explain.

Congrats to aubs, they had perfect game plan or our depleted D. Crossing pattern passes, and misdirection runs. They won, and we helped with some stupid mistakes, but give them credit they beat us. Not sure how they fare against UGA with all the RB's hurt. Man injuries can kill ya. ROLL TIDE and lets just win a good bowl game and get 12 wins. Not even worried about playoff, we are not up to winning a title right now. Still a hack of a year.

Some you guys are pathetic. Kids went out and executed "what was given to them". Evidently, we don't have any "quick slants" in the gameplan until we are behind in the 4th quater. Game rests squarley on the OC. Roll Tide! If we make it, Roll Tide! If we don't, Roll Tide!

Why are we always so flat when we play in Auburn?

They get up for it and their coaches encourage it. Saban does not want his players to get up for any game. For all of his strengths, Saban does not get this one right.

But that's not why you lost this game or any of the others. You lost this game because they played great football, and Alabama played very poor football.

I hate auburn, but they played the better game tonight. It makes me sick to not see us play to full potential as seldom as that is, and when injuries weaken us. Proud of our guys over the season, tonight was not our night.

Now just hold breath and see if we can squeeze into the playoff somehow...Roll Tide

Auburn played a great game and K Johnson was a beast. It's easy to say, but I think with Tua in we would have had a better chance in our "2 minute" offense.

Time to admit that Jalen is still a great running back how can throw.

We had a guy who could have been the next “Matt Linart” but we ran him off.

Bring on Tua.

A few of my observations:

1. Although our defense didn't play badly it's not quite as good as a year ago. Even if we were 100% healthy our defense a year ago was better. Had better pass rushers then.

2. OL was up and down all season. Today it was down.

3. Do we have any trick plays in our playbook? Appears not. I thought we might try a couple in the second half to change the momentum when Auburn got the lead but we didn't.

4. Even though some people believe streaks are nonsense and every season is different I believe they do affect the psychology of players going into a game. Finebaum and others mentioned some streaks before this game that favored Auburn and those streaks continued.

5. I think UGA beats Auburn next week. Auburn is emotionally drained and physically beat up after playing us. UGA wants revenge, the game is in their home state and Auburn has yet to beat anybody good away from Jordan-Hare.

If you don't think there's a relationship between our poor play and our inability to get up for the game, well....

I agree we left some plays in the playbook that would have been effective tonight. Kept waiting for the Jet sweep to come back. Coach Saban is still the best in the business.
